The Watts 3/4" Lead-Free Water Pressure Reducing Valve is engineered to safeguard plumbing systems and lower water consumption in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. This valve is a comprehensive solution designed to handle pressures up to 400 psi (27.6 bar) and offers an adjustable pressure range from 25 to 75 psi (172 to 517 kPa), with a standard setting at 50 psi (345 kPa).This assembly includes a lead-free cast copper silicon alloy valve, removable integral stainless steel strainer, replaceable seat module, thermal expansion bypass, and a sealed spring case with stainless steel cage screws for waterwork pit installations.The valve includes a sealed spring cage that makes it suitable for waterworks pit installations, as well as a bypass feature that effectively controls thermal expansion pressure, permitting the flow of water back through the valve into the main when pressures - due to thermal expansion on the outlet side of the valve - exceed the pressure in the main supply.
