Spectre Performance Air Intake Kit: High Performance, Desgined to Increase Horsepower and Torque: Fits 2002-2008 DODGE (Ram 1500, Ram 2500) SPE-9932

Unfortunately im very dissapointed with spectre.. Bought this intake so my truck could breathe better.. The intake i just bought replaces the top cover of the original box and the tubing from the throttle body to the box.. The problem with the original intake is the small hole the truck has in the bottom box to breathe threw. This using the bottom box to breathe threw changes nothing.. I posted pictures of the way i did the intake which lets the intake breathe free and clear!!! Also I am more dissapointed with the clamps sent to close the intake they dont seem to close enough to keep the intake sealed so now i have a whistle from hell that sounds like the brakes on a train squeeling from hell and back!! I have been purchasing and swearing by spectre for years!!!! Bought air filters and intakes for years for me my family and my customers and im actually very diaspointed in them right now.. Thankfully this is my truck that i am having these issues with and i Dont have a customer yelling at me because their having these issues but this is just very sad for me.. On the plus side the rubber gromets for plugs and the iat sensor worked flawlessly and perfectly!!!! 2 stars because i had to make it work and have more work to do to get the train whistling to go away and the clamps :/

The instalation of this intake was easy and went as planned, but when i attempted to close the hood it was clear that the intake was sitting too high. I had to remove the rubber seal on top of the box and i also removed my hood linner for good messure. The hood closes properly now but it just nearly clears the hood when closed. Other than that I really like the performance and sound of it. Has a slight whistle to it and makes the engine breathe alot better. For the price I'd probably buy again.

Overall, the kit seems well made. As with other commenters, the IAT grommet was a pain in the backside. As I neared the end of the installation, I discovered the metal tube did not line up from the throttle body to the air box. I further realized that the EGR port was not next to the IAT sensor as it should be. There was no hope of the EGR hose reaching from that port to the EGR port on the oil filler. I have to conclude that the wrong tube was included in the kit, so it's going back.

I absolutely love this. Great deep sound. Looks good. Noticeable throttle response. Worth the money for sure. Only thing that bugged me is the rubber grommet for the temperature sensor was too small. Took alittle modification but other then that was super easy to install.

it works great and you can see the increased horsepower instantly. Only problem was when I had to insert the sensor. the rubber gasket is tight and I had a hard time inserting the sensor on my 2006 dodge ram 1500 5.7 liter. I had to have my wife put her hand in the pipe to hold the gasket on the inside so I could force the sensor in. other than that the directions were pretty straight forward and easy.

This thing snapped right in where the old filter went...went together pretty well except for the thingamabob fitting in the grommet took some finagling...Performance/sound is good! Now I want to upgrade the exhaust. If that thingy would have fit better I'd have given it a 5 star...easily... for price and quality. Would definitely buy again.....

Do not buy this product I do not recommend have to drill out the intake temp sensor grommet and still a tight fit ended up breaking mine and the metal pipe was scratched up not satisfied with this cold air intake ;( 04 5.7 hemi ram 1500

I've have had it installed on my 07 Ram 1500 for over a month and can't complain. Definitely more power and better throttle response. Gas mileage is better but let's face it, its a 5.7 hemi. Pretty easy to install also if you are use to working on your truck.

Looks great, installation was simple but the grommets on the piping didnt fit to well. Besides that tho it's an awesome cai. Sounds good, throttle response has improved and I feel a little bit more horses. Definitely woke the engine up thats for sure. Sold price for a solid product.

Fit quite good, the positions of the intake air temperature sensor and the oil breather are not great but it worked out fine. Gives a great result for improved sound and noticeable throttle response.

Love it sounds great zero problems after a year and a half. And great price happy trails

Very poorly designed. nothing lines up properly and the boots given are very cheap. if you have a iat sensor good luck getting it to fit.
