The Triplett Byte Brothers Power Panel (POE1000IL) is designed for those working with PoE on a regular basis. Its ability to connect inline between two network devices (measuring the PoE power draw in watts) makes the POE1000IL a standout. The two RJ45 jacks connect inline, passing the PoE power through to the VoIP phone or IP camera. Link pulses can be detected and power can be measured. The Power Panel also comes with a port beacon feature and tone generator to help locate ports and wires. If you are an installer of VoIP phones or IP cameras, the Power Panel will soon become your favorite tool. Locate network ports using the port beacon feature. Locate active network devices and display capabilities (includes VoIP phones, IP cameras, access points, switches, NIC cards). Display the advertised speed (10/100/1000) and duplex (location on cable is also displayed). Connect in between (inline) two LAN devices to display the negotiated speed and power pass thru. The tester also locates phones, FAXs and modems. Voltage and location on cable are displayed; PoE and cable location (end span and misran). Simulate a PoE device by pressing the "Test PoE" button. Locate cable runs by placing a tone on one end of the cable with the Main Unit and detecting the tone on the far side with a tone probe (probe not included; see Model POE1000ILT).
