The original of this image was taken with a twin lens Roleiflex Camera from the Rockefeller lookout along the Palisade Interstate Parkway in Englewood Cliffs. The Dayliner cruise ship is returning from an excursion to Bear Mountain. I call this View from Higfgh Tor in honor of what the Dutch originally called the Palisades. This image was taken in 1974 and published in Mr. Gambee's second book, "Manhattan Seascape--Waterside Views Around New York." All ten of his photography books are at Amazon.
