2.6 Gallon Compostable Trash Bags, 100 Count, Extra Thick 0.71 Mil, Certified by BPI and ASTM D6400, Perfect Fit for Small Trash Cans

I got tired of my stupid little compost bin so I bought three lovely matching trash bins. I was super happy to find these and they do initially seem to be sturdy and nice. The only problem is that food scraps tend to be wet dense and heavy. If you let this fill even half way it's difficult to remove and take outside. Yes the bag can leak - so can regular trash bags when they are heavy and wet. It is a bit impractically large for compost. And of course my trash collection has since banned compost bags this large... :(

I can’t find any place in Amazon to tell them I received these bags, nor to report slight locker malfunction. Because there was a physical problem with the amazon locker pick up, they think I did not receive the bags. I have the bags!!!

The bags are thin and tear if filled and too heavy. We are happy to have found a compostable bag though.

The lid of the container sticks to the bag, so I have to put down the waste and open the container top by hand , by lifting the edge of the top. I think the waste creates a vacuum, or else the bag material sticks to the top. It's cumbersome.

These bags are nice ok for really small amounts.. like after deboning a rotisserie chicken. That’s about it in this size. You don’t want to overfill - leave room to tie off the bag. Plenty of bags though :)

This is a small-sized bag for collecting organic waste. It is sturdy in that it isn't fragile and doesn't tear. But we have seen the inner bucket of the trash can accumulate moisture. So most likely this is what happens with organic waste. The definite advantage is that it is compostable and we are doing our part to protect the environment.

These bags fit my compost container perfectly.
