EASY Setup & Great Quality - Ignore the Nonsense!
I was very glad I decided to read the App Store reviews for the app for this product before I invested too much in the Amazon reviews. The App Store reviews were steller, this unit was $60 at the time so I took a leap despite a lot of negative reviews here.I had this set up and printing labels in 5 minutes and I didn't bother with reading any instructions. Some of the information on this product is outdated (as are a lot of the reviews I suspect), there is ONE app now for this - Brother Design & Print 2 (just search "Brother P-Touch" and you'll find it) and Brother has done a great job with this app. It comes with a ton of easy to use templates to create your labels.I had turned on my printer before I even downloaded the app, after installation the app instantly found the printer on Bluetooth and I was set to print in moments. I got this printer mainly to print FAA registration numbers for my drones and it did that very well.Is there a little bit of tape wasted? Yes, yes there is. My guess would be this is because the printer laminates AFTER it does the thermal print job. The label looks to be separated with a base and laminate in the cartridge and laminates when it prints. Therefore, you can't just wind the tape back in so none is wasted as it's been laminated. Two seconds with scissors and your problem of extra space is solved. Is larger text a bit fuzzy at some of the edges? Yes, yes it is, this is a thermal label printer, not some laser printer generating print copy. I found the label perfectly appealing and legible, if you want to stick your face in it to see some fuzziness, have at it, can't see the point.I thought about getting the higher-end ones with the power cutter, it's completely unnecessary, quick push of the button and it cuts perfectly. This is a great little printer and was very easy to use in the app, much preferable to some big clunky device with a keyboard on it. For $60 it's also the same price if not less than most of them.Great product, ignore the whining in a lot of these reviews, I found it to be super easy to use.

Great buy
Definitely a purchase I'm glad I made. Price is fair and you get a small, portable and easy to use label printer. Bluetooth connectivity is very convenient and allows for fast and accurate label creation. Convenient option of using the power adapter or batteries. Fully functional and well working machine. Noise is on par with most label makers I've used

-1 star for wasting tape otherwise great first impression
As I get older one thing I've noticed across many products; attention to detail is gone. It is the little things that make the biggest impressions and in this case it is almost an INCH of wasted tape for each single use (see pic).To be fair Brother has tried to compensate in software. You can wait and print multiple labels only having the inch of wasted tape at the end but this is just a fundamental design flaw. They have taken what is an otherwise excellent product, easy to use, tons of options, etc and just made it feel... so wasteful. Other than that it's great. Assuming it keeps working I'll keep using it but I won't be recommending it to friends\family. Not that saving an inch is going to make a difference but more because it just shows that no one at Brother cared enough to fix it.

Awesome!
This little thing is great! I initially wanted one that was rechargeable, but all I saw were off brands that made me nervous along with what looked like set size labels that weren’t universal. This one however comes with an ac adapter which is not a big deal at all to plug in. I didn’t try it with batteries so I can’t speak on that. But the amount of versatility is pretty great. It’s a little tricky to get the hang of creating labels for precise situations. This was my second time using it and I thing I’m catching on. Made labels for me and my son’s prescriptions to make it easier to differentiate. It was a little pricey but I used some Amazon rewards and I’m hopeful that itll last being a brother product and also the label formatting options are great.

So useful and portable
I like that there is a wired power option in case someone doesn't have SIX AAA batteries. That said, the portable option is very nice and is how I've been using this label maker for the majority of the time. I put rechargeable batteries in about 6 months ago and haven't needed to swap them out yet. There are a ton of different color and font options, and the ability to save frequently used labels and phrases to the machine is great. Brother is a great brand, and this product is no exception.
