These are considerably less weight than metal shackles, a bit bulkier, but much safer if they break. These shackles are made well and seem to be pretty strong. The synthetic rope appears to be good quality and well made. The cover is a nylon cover to keep things from getting scratched up when using the shackles. They come in their own bag, which is a nice addition. I just tossed the whole bag into my recovery kit, so when I need them, I will know exactly where they are. The quality is good making me believe these should hold up over the long term. They are not the cheapest ones out there. But the braided rope seems a little bigger than some of the less expensive ones. I want to make sure it can withstand more than I will ever throw at them, so paying a little more for something stronger is worth it to me.

I wanna head and bought an offset snatch block and it works so much better. The rope stays put on it heavy loads turn the centered hole sideways rope falls out

These things make life a lot easier for those of us who get stuck or ride with those who do. Very easy to use, visible, strong. These float, which is way better than loosing shackles to a mud hole or even a puddle. I have even lost one and turned around to go back and find it floating on the edge. Really like the simplicity and safety these add to off roading. BONUS: Light. Weight savings on all my gear is massive when you get rid of cable, shackles, snatch blocks, etc. Recommend for sure

Haven't had to use them yet however the quality seems to be decent. I'll update my review once I've had an opportunity to use it.
