Fraudulent advertising!
Bought several packages of these liners, and while I do like them very much, they are not the dimensions advertised on the package. How surprised and disappointed I was to discover that these were an inch short for my 48" shelves! They are NOT 12" x 48", they are 11.75" x 47". I read the fine print on the Amazon product page more thoroughly in retrospect, and did discover that while the seller lists the 12" x 48" dimensions in the product description, as well as on the product's label, they also indicate a set of "actual dimensions" as 11.75" x 47.025", but why in the world would there be advertised versus actual dimensions of a simple, flat product? The label on the product says 12" x 48" without any mention anywhere else on the packaging or the product that those are not the actual dimensions - that information is only on the Amazon web page that contains the detailed product description (well below the basic description that is shown with the product picture and price). For every package of four liners, at $35 per package, customers are being ripped off about $2.88 per package (12x48 = 576 square inches; $35/576 = $0.06 per square inch; the missing 12 square inches x $.06 = $0.72; $0.72 x 4 liners per package = $2.88). I have purchased six packages over the last several months (but just started using the liners today), so the company has scammed me out of $17.28. Imagine how much the company is scamming from customers when you multiply the $2.88 per package by hundreds or thousands of customers. Certainly, we could all be better at reading the fine print on the Amazon product web page before ordering, but who in their right mind would think that a product's label and advertisement are fake and, thus, should further investigate the fine print to look for the "actual" information?! Shame on this company. Perhaps the Federal Trade Commission would be interested in what I view as fraudulent advertising that is resulting in running a scam on customers. I think I will ask the FTC if they would take a look at this. I might also suggest that Amazon take a closer look at how it is scamming customers on behalf of this seller by allowing the fake 12"x48" dimensions to be advertised with this product.

Good product, but be aware---actual dimensions are not as advertised
Although this is, in my opinion, a quite pricey product, I have to say I generally like it. It cuts and lays well on the shelving, and looks nice. Having said that, I was shocked and appalled when I layed the first on on my 48" shelf, only to discover that it was an inch short. Then I measured all 15 (4 packs) of the other 16" x 48" pieces, only to discover that they were all 15 3/4" x 47". Each one is just shy of 1" short in length. I don't especially care about the 1/4" width shortage, but I DO care about the full 1" length shortage. On my 96" shelves, that's 2" short...each one. That may sound nit-picky, but it really galls me that I paid premium $ for a product that is NOT the size that was stated in the description. Had they been cut properly, my rating would be a 4 or 5. Sterling needs to do a better inspection of their product. These should have never made it to the shipping dock.

photos no longer represent product
I purchased this item in May of 2019, a little smaller size. I was extremely happy with the quality of the shelf liner. Wanting to order more, I went to Amazon past orders to get the same item, except size up. The shelf liners are no longer what is shown in the photos by Sterling Shelf liners. I also feel the gauge of the plastic isn't as thick. The photos show a "dusty" clear side and a smooth clear side, which is exactly what I wanted and thought I'd be shipped. What I liked about these is; on the "dusty" clear side items slide on/off easily, the clear smooth side gripped nicely to the wire shelves, so the liner didn't slide around. Well now, the smooth side is a textured plastic that slides around, and the "dusty" clear side is the same, which I like. The liners don't seems as thick or sturdy as the ones I ordered in May of 2019. I was highly disappointed when I opened my box today, I thought I would get the same liners as pictured and previously purchased. Please Sterling Shelf liners, update your photos to what is actually shipped out. I planned on buying several more packs of the 12" liners. I don't feel the cost, reflects the quality of the product any longer. It feels like bait and switch, unless you show the true product and adjust pricing. I really liked the original liners available, I feel Sterling Shelf Liners are no longer sterling...

⚠ Production Dimensions Misleading
Product Dimensions 47 x 16 x 0.2 inches as stated in product description. The length of the product is 47 inches as stated. And this is a good thing because the wire shelving I have is 48 inches long from outside edge to outside edge; but there is a rounded lip in the shelf making the inside measurement of the shelf 47 inches. This allows the 47 inch liner to fit perfectly inside the shelf area. However the problem with the liner becomes apparent when the liner is placed on the shelf. The liner is too wide to flat on the shelf between the front and back lips. shelf The actual width (or depth) is 15.75 inches. Even with that width the liner does not fit flat on the shelf between the front and back lips. I had to trim .25 inches along the length of the liner to allow the liner to fit flat on the shelf between the front and back edges. So this shelf liner was not easy to install. Some trimming was necessary and I also had to trim the corners to allow the liner to fir around the poles. I think the manufacturer should work with an actual wire shelf product to get actual dimensions and manufacture the product using these dimensions. The product was easy to trim with ✂ scissors but the trimmed edge was not as clean as the manufactured edge. I had to be sure the trimmed edge was placed to the back of the shelf so it was not visible.

The liner would be perfect 5 star product if there was a way to secure it to the wire shelf. 4 stars because I had to punch holes and zip tie the liner to the shelf.
