This is a great start to a series! Really good story, even though it starts off with tragedy… Dan meeting Holly was pivotal and I was glad to see it happening in my minds eye before it materialized on the pages. Can’t wait to start Book 2. Franklin did not disappoint! I kept thinking of The Mad Mick as I was reading.

The writings of Franklin Horton are far from mundane and predictable, like many of the books of this genre have become. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Not what I expected after reading the Mad Mick series but it was good. Can’t wait to read the rest.

Once you start reading this book it is hard to put down. It is easy to relate to the characters. This is a worthwhile read. Dan has some of the "in your face" attitude you see in the other characters in Franklin's stories.

Franklin did it again. Like the rest of his books I found myself needing to know what happened next. I really enjoyed this book
