This is a pretty nice little cooler. Blows cold air for a while. Simple, easy to use. Took me a while to figure out what the silicone tray was, then I had a "duh" moment and realized it was for ice. Excited to use this over the summer in our camping trailer.

I bought this because the apartment complex I live in constantly breaks down and I went MONTHS without AC during the summer. My apartment unit was 85 degrees or higher, and I was ready to just give up and live in a hotel while the AC was being worked on. I ended up buying this because I wanted something that I could have blowing on me while I slept so I didn't sweat my @ss off.It. Does. NOT. Work. Whatsoever.It's just a regular fan that blows water on you when you put water in the chamber. But even THAT doesn't work. The water doesn't mist you, it just drips in puddles which skims right past the fan blades. So instead of cooling you off, it just blows hot air on you and you have to hear the water droplets get eaten by the blades.If you need something to cool you off, just spend the extra money for an ACTUAL fan with an ACTUAL cooling feature. I ended up spending my money on a tower fan and it was such a great purchase. I couldn't take the heat anymore and this little box fan was just awful.

The video clips on the product page would make you think this unit is the best thing since sliced bread. Each has also been compensated for making their video which should alert you to taking it all with a significant grain of salt. My AC went out, and I got this for the bedroom. It works, is simple to set up, and once you figure out that you can't put ice cubes on their tray and then put it in the unit, you're ready. I did not have the bubble issue that someone else had. I had bubbles. UPDATE: Bubbles stopped the first day. But like another review, I would be very surprised if after 4 hours of running it, replacing water and ice cubes, to see the temp in the bedroom lessened by even 1 degree. The air flow from the unit ends at maybe 12 inches from the unit. I ran mine from about 4pm throughout the night. I was not impressed, but then I did not have high hopes. And of all the ones I looked at, this unit had the best chance of giving us some relief from the 100 degree desert heat. I'm keeping it, and dutifully going to keep it running, with ice, until the current heat spell breaks next week. It's better than nothing, especially when augmented by a couple of additional fans. Just don't expect a lot, and you won't be disappointed. UPDATE 2: This is now going to the Salvation Army. Too bad. I should have known better.

It’s honestly not worth the $60. You have to be right on top on it and I mean less than a foot away from you in order to feel anything. It does give off a cool breeze if you add ice but once that ice is gone and the water gets even slightly warmer it just feels like humid air. Honestly I’d return it if it wasn’t worth the hassle to do it. It simple to use but not as cooling as it should be.

The directions were not very clear but once I figured out how to use it, it is simple. It comes with a USB cord but not the adapter and the one I use for my phone is not powerful enough, but that was a small obstacle. Most importantly, it works very well with ice and cold water if it is nearby and blowing directly on you. When the water runs out, it is just an overpriced fan. That said, as long as you keep it filled and blowing on you, it's terrific. It would make a great fan for your desk, I put it on my nightstand to help at night!

Had an issue where the mist option stopped working at the end of a month. Contacted company for replacement & was sent another one immediately by Rex in customer service. Great company - Great customer care. 5 StarsHowever ...The unit main function is the mist mode which is what uses the water to add to the cooling. If that breaks, it's just an expensive fan. This product is not durable and would advise potential customers to do their homework. Can't recommend ANY product that breaks after a month, especially at a $70 price point. Save your money and don't buy. Also, the filter element is difficult to remove to clean and is basically made out of paper which is not durable. Very bad design flaws all around. The manufacturing process should've been better thought out with better quality in parts/workmanship when designing these things. Very disappointed.

I thought this would be an actual fan. It's really just a computer 120mm fan with a mister in front. It's maximum fan speed makes you want to double check if the thing is still on.Does evaporative cooling work? Of course. If you're in an already dry and somewhat cool place. Hot and humid? Useless. So essentially no good unless you're indoors and you're 5 inches in front of it.For the price you can get a serious fan from any hardware store that actually makes air move and then you still have leftover money to buy a mist maker.Incredible that this product exists. Insane.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PERSONAL WATER EVAPORATIVE COOLER. WITH PUTTING ICE IN A LONG WITH WATER THIS LITTLE COOLER REALLY WORKS WELL. IT IS NOT FOR TRYING TO COOL DOWN AN ENTIRE ROOM; BUT IT DEFINITELY KEEP YOU COOL IF YOUR ARE WITHIN 5' +/-. IT CAN RUN FOR UP TO 8 HOURS ON A SINGLE FILL UP. IT RUNS OFF OF A USB CABLE [NO BATTERY IN COOLER]. DOES NOT COME WITH A USB CHARGER, BUT I HAVE PLENTY USB CHARGERS LYING AROUND. I PLUG IT INTO MY JACKERY 300W BATTERY BANK GENERATOR FOR WHEN THE POWER GOES OUT I HAVE A MEANS OF KEEPING COOL.
