Learn to Read Hebrew in 6 Weeks (Hebrew for Beginners) Paperback – Illustrated, September 6, 2016

This book is so much fun. It's broken up into small little bites where it's easy to study the video that you follow along with. It makes everything much easier on the pronunciations. I'm enjoying this, halfway through.

Clever way to learn Hebrew using creative mnemonic devices. Lessons move along quickly. The videos are very helpful. I now have the basics which should be useful on my next trip to Israel.

I really enjoyed learning to read Hebrew from this book. Each lesson is simple, fun and builds on the previous lesson so you build your skills gradually, always reinforcing what you’ve already learned. The author uses a fun system of pictures to help you remember the sound of each letter. The illustrations are so cute and helpful. I’m proud to say I can now read any word in Hebrew. Highly recommend!

GREAT book!!! Start with this book if you are wanting to learn Hebrew! She relates the Hebrew letter to a picture that has the sound of the letter. Makes it so much easier to remember the sounds!

Such a fun way to learn the letters and especially the vowels. Very helpful! This was the main reason I got this book. For the vowels. Why and where they're positioned and of course for the sounds they make. I would love a book of basic sentence structure. Conversational Hebrew. Using elementary words building up to adult conversations. Now I need to memorize vocabulary. Anyone know of a good book for that?GB

I am a devout follower of God and have always been very inquisitive and curious about the Bible. So, I recently bought a few Hebrew translation bibles and concordances and thought, why not try to learn Hebrew so I can deepen my study even more. This book helped me so much and I grasped the language so fast! I know it says 6 weeks but I actually got through it in 2 days with a great understanding of the Hebrew vocabulary, lol! I appreciate all the efforts that went into making this book so fun and easy to digest, 10/10 recommendation for sure!!!

TLDRThis book is a wonderful first step to start your Hebrew journey.The rest of the story ...At the time of this writing I am 53 years old. I have studied and learned rudimentary conversational aspects of Spanish, French and Tagalog. I have also made some inroads to Mandarin. Being a software developer, I took this aptitude for language to learn several computer languages as well.I decided I wanted to read my bible in the Hebrew language in which it was originally written. I have written the alphabet more than 100 times and found some wonderful web sites that teach you the words. So far I have not been able to break the barrier toward reading. The writing of the alphabet over and over is too basic and the web sites proved to be just beyond my reach when trying to work toward my goal.The technique Miiko uses in this book was amazing. Super simple yet profoundly effective. She teaches the letters and rudimentary word recognition like you might teach a kindergartner. This is exactly what I needed to bridge the gap toward reading. As a native English speaker the Hebrew characters presented a challenge to me, that up until now, I was unable to overcome. After a few short lessons I have found that I can not only remember what I have been studying but I can even begin to replay the lessons in my head. Thank you Miiko for reminding me that the simplest methods can be extremely effective to progress toward reading.
