Protects your delicate fabrics
I had never used a silk press cloth but decided it would be a smart purchase when making my daughter's wedding gown. It was an extremely smart purchase. Durable and definitely protects delicate fabrics. I'm sure I avoided major trouble by using it. And when I made a last minute decision to underline the lace sleeves with silk organza - while temporarily living in the middle of nowhere, an hour away from the nearest fabric store - I decided to use the presscloth as the underlining. I washed it, pressed it and attached it to the lace. It was just barely enough fabric to underline the sleeves and it worked perfectly. So I had to order another presscloth - But I have to say I got my money's worth and then some!

Sewists need this pressing cloth
As a beginning sewist I thought I could use any cloth for pressing while I'm sewing. This is high quality silk organza and I use it all the time now that I have it. I store it right next to the iron and cannot imagine sewing without it.

Works as intended
I haven't used this a ton, but it works great so far. I was using a piece of quilting cotton as a pressing cloth prior and I love that this is so sheer and I can see what I'm pressing now. My only concern would be the possibility of the edges unraveling since they're just pinked, but I think some fray check would work, or a simple straight seam along all the edges.

Super sheer & useful.
Wasn’t sure if I wasted my money or not but now that I’ve had it for awhile I do use it fairly often. You can actually see through the organza to make sure everything is lined up when ironing, it’s light weight, it’s a fairly generous size & you just have to click the Add To Cart button & it arrives at your door.

Excellent, with a small flaw.
The price for this is perfect. You can use it on all heat levels from very hot and steamy to a low iron. It prevents shine and protects the fabric, just as it is designed to do.It's only problem is the unraveling. It WILL unravel, unless you make a seam with it. Once it begins to unravel (which was very soon after purchase, I think I used it twice), it deteriorates very quickly. I'm about to use an adhesive seam and I'll see if it stops it. If I don't post back, then it means it worked. Now I did try buying but the product description (at the time of this writing) does not say what it is made of. To my dismay, it is 100% polyester. I'm amazed that reviewers are so pleased saying it can take the heat very well. Polyester isn't supposed to take high heat. Needless to say, that one was tossed to the side and maybe I'll use it as wide mesh cheese cloth or something. As for this one, I can vouch for the heat settings. Works like a charm! It only loses 1 star because it should have been seamed.

Does indeed shed at the edges
It's a nice size and works to prevent shining on dark fabrics. It isn't particularly transparent and most definitely does shed from the edges with little wear. I use it in my ironing business and have to lint roller the garments after use. I wouldn't repurchase it for that reason.

Great
Had this for several weeks now, used it for the first time yesterday to press my kilt and kilt jacket. Its brilliant, wish we had these back in the day when I was in the army

Better than the cheap Chinese mesh type ironing cloths
Great value for money. It's hardwearing and easier to use than the cheaper Chinese type ironing cloths. Only drawback is that the edges have loose threads. I just cut them off.
