Brilliant power station with excellent customer support
The company that makes or sells a product is often never mentioned in a review. For HOVERFLY I have to make an exception: they have been superb from start to finish. There was a small problem with the power station and they handled it extremely quickly and efficiently. HOVERFLY is a company that deserves your business. The power station itself is great and does what it says on the box. The station charges fully in about 6-7 hours on its DC input (both when connected to a shed solar panel, and when connecting to the included adapter). The input current is limited to about 2A so that matches up perfectly. Once charged the power station can recharge basically anything with a USB(-C) input. The 60W PD is great for charging up a laptop and works well. The box also includes a barrel to car cigarette lighter socket. This way you can charge or power anything that fits into an ordinary cigarette lighter in the car (up to 10A, so 120W). The number of USB sockets is great (two times USB-C, two times USB-A), but the two additional 12V outputs really sweeten the deal. All of the above is DC power and works without making any noise. If you push the AC button and have a power socket plugged in you can use any device up to 150W. It's rather strict about this, and even a 170W adapter didn't work. Anything at or below 150W worked. If you use AC the fan inside the appliance does turn on. The air that comes out never gets warm, so the fan probably could have been bigger and/or run quieter. The AC output is also a modified sine and not a pure sine. That isn't the biggest problem though as very few appliances requiring a pure sine require less than 150W. For our needs it's perfect as we mostly use it to plug in various battery charger adapters. The power output of the device is as expected. It easily recharges a laptop twice. A single phone could probably be recharged a dozen times or more. There's also a light (great for walking around with it in the dark). The display is informative, clear to read, and appears to be accurate. The wattage that is being reported is within 5% of what the device that is charging is reporting. The battery technology is great and uses the safe, reliable, and long-lasting LiFePO4. For our needs we no longer need to use the grid for anything that is battery powered in the house, whether it is a laptop, phone, or even the battery-powered vacuum cleaner. All of them are charged now through the power station, which is charged from the free energy we get from a solar panel on our shed.Overall I think this power station will last for a long time. If you can live with the 150W limit on AC it is a great power station in a very convenient size. The station itself comes highly recommended. HOVERFLY have been the best and we will buy from them again after our experience with their service!

A great portable power source, with a few quirks.
Purchased this together with the 60 watt solar panels and so far it's been a mostly positive experience. The price point was excellent, I can get 40 watts in full sunlight and the battery is easy to use, allowing for pass through charging too. I haven't used the AC extensively, a fan kicks in at anything over 25 watts or so but it isn't too noisy. The ability to charge multiple devices at once is extremely useful. And in theory, the 2,000 cycles this offers should give a much longer life than similar products. My one complaint, as others have mentioned, is that the battery indicator seems to get easily confused - mine showed a battery at 13% but refused to take further charge, I subsequently used it for hours with the indicator at 0%! Fully discharging the battery has bought everything back in sync. Customer support to resolve this was good. I'd recommend this product if you have a need for off-grid power or are starting in solar, bear in mind that it's not going to power your whole house and it's a great bit of kit.

Great product but not without problems
With fuel cost etc rising O decided to get a generator that I could use with solar panels or via mains charging.PositivesOnce charged, I use this as my main power source for charging phones, tablets, LED lights, USB fans. And will last 5days when used daily so no complains there. It's light and portable (size of a small loaf of bread) and great to take on a camping trip.It has plenty of sockets and a useful torch.NegativesMy biggest complaint.. it take forever to charge via mains and seems to stop charging randomly. It connects to solar panels but connecting has been a problem as instructions for unit and panel are quite ambiguous. If I can resolve these problems then the star rate and review will be adjusted accordingly.

Brilliant
The media could not be loaded. This is such a great portable power station. We go camping quality a lot and obviously take all of our devices with us. My two kids take their phones and tablets as do we and I also take a laptop. This small but powerful portable generator provides us with enough power to keep us all going.I can power my windows laptop through the UK Plug outlet on this generator which is amazing. It has a clear display showing what power is being used and how much charge it has left. It also has a very handy Light on the side. You can also charge this via solar panels if you have them.Overall I am absolutely delighted with this portable power station and for the following reasons I have decided to rate it 5 stars:Compact sizeLightSturdyPowerfulGreat battery lifeClear displayGood connection options

Great power station with great features
I wanted a power station with LiFep04 and a screen with watts in and out, very hard to find at this price! The R150 unit fitted the bill perfectly. Make sure you fully charge it when you first receive the unit to help make the battery % as accurate as possible. (Note the screen doesn’t show ‘time remaining’ like on the bigger R300 model)
