Hozelock Superhoze Pipe Expands - Yellow

I love this hose. I know it sounds weird but I love how it grows bigger and smaller depending on when the water is on or off, it is like a snake unfurling and shrinking and I like watching it do this (sad I know). Takes up such little space when no water in it which I love as my old hose was such a pain to reel in and try to make tidy. With this one I can just leave it connected to the outside tap as it shrivels back to such a small package. I also bought a spray gun and a multi lawn/bed spray attachment that sits on the ground and all attach with no leakage from anywhere so I now have everything covered. I know you can get these cheaper with other makes but would rather pay a bit more and get a make that is recognised as specifically a hose manufacturer and also Amazon are discounting them at the moment. I am very pleased with my purchases and would highly recommend it.

We had high hopes for this hose (and bought two) but are extremely disappointed. Be aware that if you want to use sprinklers these hoses are likely to retract. The hose works by being at high pressure and while it works well with the nozzle provided, it doesn’t work well with soaker hoses or with lawn sprinklers. As soon as the pressure drops (for instance by running two hoses together) the hose ‘retracts’ pulling the sprinkler back towards the tap. It was a bit surreal watching our lawn sprinkler heading for home.If you are watering or washing the car by hand with the nozzle supplied with the hose, it seems to work OK. But do not expect it to be a part of a watering system with sprinklers or soaker hoses: it’s just not designed for this and Hozelock and Amazon really should make that clear.

It is lightweight. I'll give it that. But if your water pressure isnt all that great it won't stretch out so it wont reach very far. Mine leaked at the connections at both ends from day one despite having new hoselock tap adapters. Mine lasted just beyond the 3year guarantee, and I had stored it indoors carefully. I think it was expensive for what it is.My verdict is, buy a cheap one from B&M or Home Bargains or somewhere. And then just replace it when it busts. Theres no way to repair a puncture on these stupid things. Does my head in not being able to repair it.

Once the hose kinks, it is permanent and the flow rate reduces. This happened several times over a few months. Finally a kink stopped the flow altogether and it blew a massive leak because of the back pressure. Either this is a faulty batch or a terrible design. Either way I would advise you avoid unless space is a real issue.

Delighted with this. It's super light to carry, and gather up to hang up next to tap. Undoes itself when tap is turned on and closes itself up when tap is turned off.
