The cure for my dakota 4x4
My truck started making a grinding noise when in 4 wheel drive. I found the cv joint boot on front drive shaft on the output side of the transfer case had torn and the bearings had rusted. This part was the perfect replacement.Removal of the old cv joint was the most difficult part due to rust of the splined shaft binding the old part to the drive shaft. 10 minutes with a 4 pound hammer and I was ready to install the new part. Installation was a breeze. I liked that they included plenty of grease with the kit and new clips and clamps for the boot. No worry about reusing any old components.Once replaced on the drive shaft it installed back on my truck like an OEM part should. I am now 4 wheeling smoothly again. Thanks Dorman.

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Price on Amazon was about 2/3's the price of what Advanced Auto Parts store was charging in my neighborhood. It was shipped nicely with bubble wrap in a small tight box to prevent damage which was good. Bought the kit based on 5 star reviews from other buyers so I thought I would do the same for anyone else looking for the same part. While driving I was getting a humming and slight vibration with my jeep and after some trial and error replacing other parts I narrowed it down to the CV joint. This piece fit perfectly and is working great. Humming and vibrating are gone. Highly recommend this product. It can potentially save you hundreds from purchasing a new shaft.

Fit well just a few kinks
This fit 2001 durango just fine. Came with one of the bolt retainers bent so I used the original clips and original bolts. The cap wouldn’t snap on to the end as it should so had to try and keep it lined up as I installed it. Dorman is good aftermarket products. I have used many dorman replacement parts.

Big wheels keep on turnin’!
Great product and great quality. Make sure to use the whole tube of grease. Great replacement for the factory part. Have used for 20k miles without issues. The install isn’t bad. You have to move the drivers side crossmember down to get the drive shaft out.

Chinese Junk
This is the second Doorman product that I have purchased this week that is sub-standard. I used to rely on Doorman parts, but no more. Quality control is non-existent and leads you to believe that a child work force is being enslaved. Stay away from the Doorman products that require close tolerances or electrical function.

Reasonable kit for the price.
Kit was missing 1 of the 6 hex bolts. Had to use the old bolts rather than the hex bolts provided. Other than that the kit was fairly easy to install. Sure wish it shipped with instructions (even if it was just one page). I used a round flat punch and a small hammer to put a crimp on both covers after it was installed. Looks just like the OEM part now and that should keep dirt and moisture out.

Good Quality
Changing the starter on a 09 Grand Cherokee is one of the hardest I have come across. there isn't much out onthe internet for help or service manuals either. On my 09 jeep I had to removal the front drive shaft and lowerone side of the transmission cross member to get the drive shaft out and then the starter. One I had the frontdrive removed, I notice the rear CV boot was completely split. All the parts house had was the whole shaft at aridiculous high price, $300 to $500 dollar. This CV repair kit save the day and has everything included. I wouldrecommend this products over any of the others on the internet.

2005 jeep grand cherokee front driveshaft from transfercase cv
Bought this brand cv before and never had any issues. Bought them for my 2005 jeep grand cherokee and 2002 jeep grand cherokee. All the needed parts are included to do the job. The only difference is that the provided bolts were Allen head I believe. I did the job a months ago but regardless you can use the old bolts again and everything is good.
