The design features silver-plated zinc which has been hand tooled to form various tribal shapes. A hand-chiseled butterfly is the centerpiece of this tribal chic piece. While Karen hill tribe artisans are mostly known to use silver between 99.5 to 99.9 percent purity, other metals such as Brass and Nickel are used to meet high demand in Western markets. Hand-tooling, or chiseling, is a unique trademark of the Karen hill tribe and have been passed down from generation to generation.
