In Japan, "DAGASHI" refers to inexpensive sweets that children can easily buy with their own pocket money. Its history dates all the way back to the Edo period (1603-1868), making it a very traditional confectionery in Japan. The "DAGASHI BOX" is a selection of "JAPANESE SNACKS" and "JAPANESE CANDIES" based on the theme of traditional Japanese candy shops. We have created this assortment set to make each item enjoyable, in the hopes of making adults feel nostalgic, and children can be fascinated by the numerous colorful candies. The "DAGASHI BOX" is inspired by the image of that type of candy store where you can forget about time and become immersed in it. Popular “JAPANES SNACKS” include items such as Umoi-bo and Jagariko, and also “JAPANESE CANDIES” like Kuppie Ramune and Maken Gummies. We Japanese strongly recommend these "DAGASHI" to everyone in the U.S. We hope you can all enjoy them to your heart's content. In recent years, the so-called traditional "dagashi shops" that sell these "DAGASHI" have been standing on the verge of survival. We want to share the wonderful world of "DAGASHI" with the world, and have children enjoy and buy them within a small budget. We are hoping to protect the traditions of Japan and make sure we can pass them on to the next generation. It is this thought and dream we keep in mind as we sell the "DAGASHI BOX". * Please note that the type of sweets included might change depending on the season.
