It seems table lamps these days are all digital in some way and it's hard to find a simple lamp with a physical switch that takes a standard light bulb. This is it. Digital lamps make smart switches useless since they're always off when power is applied. This lamp is simple and the white one lights up great with a Philips Hue bulb.

Great value, very little surface to collect dust, simple design looks classic and unobtrusive. Easy to tape down on top of upper shelf so I can’t pull it down accidentally yet no harm to lamp. I’m using GE relax 1600 lumens (equivalent to 100W standard bulb, but safe because less heat output than the 40W specification.) I’m using these lamps to add light in walk-in clothes closet, sewing area and game table dining area while my cataracts are ripening. Everything looks so dim to me, but these lamps are GREAT. I may keep them after cataract surgery because they look GREAT, and nice to have bright lights on things sometimes!

This is a nice looking lamp, the issue with this lamp is it takes a standard bulb, but the problem is, is that a standard bulb it too tall and will stick out above the shade, so you will need to find a very low profile bulb to make this look normal. ultimately the shade needs to be 2-3" higher to be perfect. I bought an E12 socket adapter and bought a a chandelier E12 bulb to make it look normal. it works, looks good. just be aware you may need to wrestle a bit with the bulb size to get it right. also the metal legs do not have and rubber or nonslip coatings on the bottom, so it slides easily on a smooth surface. 4 stars because of the bulb size issue and the slippery base.
