All you do is hear an annoying sound it doesn't change sounds when you hit something gold silver ect then when I went to try to return it they wanted $600 and something dollars to ship it back when you only pay couple hundred bucks for the for the for the detector Guess that's the way they get you coming and get you going and the batteries they said they can ship them because of the batteries but they shipped it here okay I don't get it trying to get a hold of Amazon give me a little help but that's like pulling teeth they say 90-day you can return it so they sell you a defective product then you can't return it and it even cost you more money

Likes: 1) The laser pointer. This is a real boon when you've zeroing in on a location for a find. 2) The ability to adjust range and depth settings. These features are crucial when you've found and triangulated a target but need to know how close you might be, and how far down it might be. 3) The ability to adjust the scanning speed. This is helpful as you zero in on a site because you want the machine to take its time in that final phase of the search. Slowing down the scanning speed and watching the laser let you see exactly where the device is hesitating.Dislikes: 1) The rechargeable battery. If the machine could be retrofitted for 9-volt or multiple AA batteries, this would allow the user to take extra batteries into the field so that the search can continue. It's already happened to me twice that the battery suddenly reaches the end of its power and the machine goes dead. Fortunately, I didn't have to go far to recharge it, but if it had been on a hike, that would have been catastrophic. 2) If the machine could be made to emit a sound of some sort when it passes over the selected metal, that would be a real advantage. 3) The operating manual should be written by a native speaker of English and should contain MUCH more detail about how to use the device, its do's and don'ts, antenna positions, etc.

I bought this product sometime in April 2024 but didn’t actually use it until July 2024 when I arrived in the Philippines. The light turned on and it kept moving but detect nothing. We tried to open the inside and found out some wires being cutoff. I sent a message to Amazon and explained the issue and told me he will help me return it once I arrive back in Seattle on Sept.13,2024 however, I arrived here last Sept.14, at 8 pm so, I decided to follow up the next day but couldn’t get a hold of anyone at Amazon at it was saying the return or refund is already been closed. So, I’m very disappointed with this product along with Amazon and the seller as well.

The tone would never change I think it's just a box with a tone in it I don't know for sure but I know it didn't work
