I recommend this multimeter. It has all the features you'll ever need and truly is pocket sized. The backlit screen is very bright and easy to read. The selection of test leads supplied are very handy too. It also comes with the required 9V battery. I only bought it for occasional home use so I'm not sure how it would stand up to professional use but it does feel well built enough to last.

I was a bit surprised to find it had a 9 volt battery, so must have missed it in the description, but I guess if I remember to turn if off and keep the plastic probe tips on it won't be an issue. Otherwise it works OK and feels fairly robust. I doubt it will live as long as the one it replaced which came from RadioShack back in the late 1960's.

Works well

The leads seem to be high resistance and shorting them gives a poor contact - the continuity beep is scratchy if the probe moves over each other. Meter does not zero on ohms and the readings fluctuate.Great for indicative readings under the bonnet!

basic but does the job

Have wanted one for 20 years, always borrowing one. Bought this and am over the moon. Well made, comes with orange rubber case, the two sets of leads - crocodile already used several times and is very handy just to clip on and then use the needle to move over other connectors etc. Only had it 5 days and already used it to check valvetronic motor on a BMW, porch lights and floodlight cables.The included user manual has very small print, I downloaded a pdf version from the web site, much better.Comes with a 9v battery already installed. I know they last years but not sure how long it has been installed, so maybe worth having a spare in case.The LCD numbers are very large and clear, back light if required and also a 'hold' button to keep reading on the screen whilst you write it down - if you need to.There is a buzzer on the continuity setting, also used several times already. However, THE BUZZER IS NOT VERY LOUD . My mate has a 40 year old Bakelite meter and it is quite clear.Size of the unit in rubber case is - 3 inches wide, 5 1/2 inches long and just under 1 1/2 inches deep.Length of the cables is 33 inches.Everything fits nicely into one of those microwaveable containers from the Chinese takeaways. (That's where I get mine anyway)Overall, I can find no faults at present. This is an early review because I have used it quite a bit. Any problems further on and I will update the post.

Actually included 2 sets of probes. The clips are desirable item to allow hands free for low voltage DC and continuity testing.

Works fine. Sorry that it doesn't have alligator clip ends.I have to buy them.
