Great Value & Does as Advertised
First time above-ground pool owner. Didn't want to get harsh chemicals that may affect the longevity of our new recreational space, so we wanted to go with a more gentle approach. Read reviews on this entire line of product and purchased most of them to use this past summer. We had many days of triple digit temps which required us to put more time in keeping the pool clean. However in speaking with friends who also had the same setup but used different chemicals, we were fortunate that our cocktail of Natural Chemistry products worked better than their brands of choice. We bought the concentrated versions so won't need to purchase for a while again. Highly recommend this line of products as we're very happy that it's helped with our hard water and high temps. Water is very slippery and clear without needing so much chlorine beyond 1 tablet every 2 wks in our 3500 gallon playground.

Worked well once, not so much the 2nd time
There are a LOT of parameters that affect pool chemistry, so won't knock this product too much for not working as well this summer as it did last summer, but something seems to be different. I used one bottle after cleaning the filtration system then a 2nd as a maintenance dose over the next few months and could never get rid of my scale problems. PH and the rest were maintained in acceptable levels, so really can't tell why this product worked miracles last year and didn't make a dent on scale this time around.

No more white scale
I noticed that the tiles on the edge of my water line were getting this white residue. I researched how to clean this, from steel wool, to harsh chemicals... then I found this. A cap full every week and the white residue faded away. It was not immediate, but over the course of a month, one cap full every week and the white line is gone. No work, no scrubbing, just this. It is now a part of my weekly routine to add a half a cap full.

Does NOT reduce water hardness. But will make your pool slippery!!
I really wanted this to work in our pool, but the only difference I noticed was the steps and plaster sides were SUPER slippery. Everyone that entered the pool fell from how slipper the steps are. I had to brush them down to get traction....So... the reason this was bought was due to extreme hard water we have in AZ. Our PPM for hardness was over 700 when it's supposed to be around 150. I've spoken to multiple pool professionals and they all said the same thing... To just drain the pool and start over. In fact, in high heat climates and hard water providers (AZ is the poster child) they recommend draining every 3-5 years during the winter months. I took a chance and hoped this might help alleviate all the hard water stains from around the edges of my pool.I cleaned off all calcium using pumice stones on tile for the entire pool. Then brushed the interior plaster walls with a stiff brush to clean those. Then I poured entire container in evenly around the entire edge of the pool as directed. A week later and calcium was already accumulating on the tile around the fountain.Based off my experience with this and talking with pool professionals, this product will not work for extreme hard water. Maybe for maintainance and lower water hardness levels it will help alleviate additional cleaning. But for those looking for a fix for buildup from hard water, this will do nothing buy lighten your wallet. For around $30 to $50, you can completely refill your pool. Toss in the $35 pump rental from a reputable hardware store and it'll be cheaper over the years.

A must have pool chemical
In parts of AZ we have real hard water and so it builds up on your stuff and it's a pain (unless you have a water conditioner but then they can leave their counter parts in the water too). This helps keep calcium in suspension so although it is high in ppm and the only way to normally get rid of it is to drain some of the water, you can keep it from attaching to your tile, plaster and plumbing.
