An Unbelievable story from surviving to thriving

An eye-opening and transparent account
This a remarkable first person narrative of a Rwandan refugee from the first antiTutsi exile whose adaptability and persistence took him from Tanzanian camps to a leading role in the Canadian Chaplain Service. The first two thirds will be of interest to anthropology as well as religious studies students, the latter traces his progress in Canadian church and military circles. He is refreshingly outspoken, and, despite the sometimes slow pace, has a lot to teach us about African and North American Christianity. His last few chapters take us to his successful second Afghan deployment, a vindication after so many setbacks and the great odds against him from childhood.
