Marshmallow (or marsh-mallow) plant is native to Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa. It grows in salt marshes, by the sea, along riverbanks. Marshmallow Root is a herb that has been around for centuries. All parts of the marshmallow plant can be consumed. It is also often used in skincare products. To prepare a tea, bring 200 ml of water to boil, add 1 tsp of Marshmallow Root, then cover and simmer on low for 20 minutes. Remove from heat, strain with a mesh strainer or cheesecloth, and sweeten if desired before serving.
