I don't think the metal ever actually touches your skin, but the shave is close.This is suoer for those with metal allergies, also the platinum coating. Great for legs and bikini area, so I'm sure face, beard, head, and chest would be as well. Zero nicks, irritation, or bumps. Only one blade and one pass for smooth cut without itritation. Too bad these are not a common US product. Most of the US razors are expensive multi blades with irritating aloe strips and nickel containing steel blades. Rashes, bumps, cuts, and reactions. These are steel with platinum coating, but the blade doesn't really touch the skin or cut below the follicle. No razor bumps- FINALLY! Will never be without these. Too me a while to find out about these. Five stars!!

I use these when I travel. At home I use a double edged safety razor. I find these razors to be an excellent substitute that don’t get me hassled by TSA.

I have been using this Gillette Guard razor since 2012. This single blade razor is too sharp to use for several shaves. Sometimes, I think this is a good razor than a double/triple blade razor. If someone use first time, no doubt, will try for the next round. I don't know why Gillette company don't make available this product in the US market. This product price in Asian countries is less than a dollar but here the price is 15 times more that is really unexpected and not good for purchasing.

I have white skin and coarse curly facial hair. Shaving is usually a nightmare… I tried everything, anywhere from five dollar razors all the way up to fancy hundred dollar single blade safety razors. I even spent over $200 on an electric razor. This works the best out of all the past options I’ve tried. Hardly have any cuts when I’m done shaving, also seems to help reduce ingrown hairs. It’s NOT the closest shave, but the benefits outweigh that detail tenfold.

If you have razor bumps, this is the razor for you. Single blade,nice guard, good price, works well, no bumps.
