Providing fast toss-in convenience, Chimfex has been tested and proven to work by an independent lab, Omni Environmental Service. When activated and inserted into a stove or fireplace, Chimfex goes to work immediately producing emissions that smother a chimney fire by starving the fire of oxygen. It is recommended to have at least two Chimfex to provide additional suppression if needed. Note: Any occurrence of a chimney fire requires notification of local fire emergency personnel to insure the fire is extinguished.
