THESE BOOTS INCREASED MY TESTOSTERONE 200% !!!
First, I confess that I'm a semi-sedentary desk jockey, mostly barking orders at people from my climate-controlled palace/office. So I'm not too experienced with this whole "work" thing--and certainly not accustomed to breaking a sweat, hearing loud noises and wearing cut-off jean shorts and flannel shirts while swinging a hammer. With the Dickies Raider boots on my feet, my life has changed. Not long after putting them on my biceps grew to sizes I heretofore only dreamed of. My wife didn't notice, but all the other ladies did so her loss I guess. When I took off the Dickies Raider boots after a day's worth of real work I hit the showers and noticed some other "changes". Even after my shower I seemed to carry a musky scent about me like a mahogany desk crossed with an old catcher's mitt. Not only that, but honest to God I thought someone had taped a dark, shag rug to my back, but after having a closer look I jumped for joy at my sasquatch-like back hair. I figured it was time to see the doctor. When I got to the doctor's office I couldn't help but notice all of the nurses looking me up and down and whispering amongst themselves. Doc had me do some routine blood work, and just like the title says, my testosterone had increased 200% in the space of only a week. My life hadn't changed--the only thing different about me was I had bought and frequently worn the Dickies Raider boots. Obviously they get all the credit as they should, because they are freaking awesome.

Less than 6 months, falling apart
First thing I noticed these are way too large for the size. I got the same size as other coastal boots I own and these are huge. There is no ankle support whatsoever. After a month or so the boots started falling apart and cracking. Then all the lace holes started rusting. Less than 6 months and these boots were done. I’ve had other boot brands last me 2-3 years. I’d hoped for 1-2 years out of these. After 3 months it was noticeable they weren’t holding up. And less than 6 months and they were virtually unusable. I’ve had other boots from Coastal that were good products. These are not one of them. Wouldn’t buy again.

Nice, well-made steel toe boot
These are replacing a worn out pair of Dickies steel toe work boots of a very similar style. Boyfriend was happy with the additional choices on Amazon compared to Walmart where he purchased the last pair. Since it was the same brand, we were comfortable about ordering online and getting the same size. The treads on these are a hiking boot style, whereas his last pair was more a horizontal bar tread, but he didn't mind that much.

Well made boots.
Purchased these boots for my husband. He cleans and details floors for local companies. As he works with chemicals, to strip the wax from the floors, that practically destroys everything it comes in contact with, we needed something sturdy, slip and chemical resistant. These boots are made very well and last him longer than any other steal-toed boot we've ever tried without spending an arm and a leg. He says they fit perfectly and are very comfortable when he's working.

Not really worth the price
They fit very well, but they claim to be slip and oil resistant and they aren't. They also leave black streaks all over the floor. Both things prevent me from using them at work, which is the reason I bought them in the first place.

Nice sturdy, heavy duty steel toed work boot
They're comfortable, took about a week to break them in.Nice and sturdy, and if they're like all of the other Dickie's boots I have owned, they'll last for quite a while (I typically get about 3 years of use from a pair of Dickie's boots, and I put about 5 miles a day on them at work). The only thing that I didn't like is that it has lace eyelets all the way up and not the lace hooks like some of their other styles of boots, so it takes a little longer to lace them up, but that really is not that big of a deal.

How long should a boot last?
I enjoyed wearing this boot for about eight years until the glue that holds the sole together expired. The leather and rubber tread still looked good and I could have gotten another decade out of this boot if it hadn't fallen apart. I tried different adhesives but couldn't fine one to put this Humpty Dumpty back together again. Good boot for the short term.

Decent for the price
The boots are great if you don't do much walking, otherwise inserts are a must. They rub on my ankles, gave me some nice blisters the first week. The tongue of the boot slides over to the side so then you are stuck with your socks getting dirty if you aren't wearing extra long pants, and then the laces rub weird as well. All in all not the greatest pair of boots, but I guess you get what you pay for.
