Fits a 12 inch Homelite bar with 49 links
I was hesitant in buying this even though it said that if fit my 12 inch Homelite saw which has 49 links. If it was any shorter with the 48 links, it wouldn't have fit. Turns out that I got it on the saw. I should never run out of adjustment when it stretches. LoL. Teeth are sharp and the saw is ready to cut. Probably order another chain for a spare after I try this one out

New Bar And Chain For An Old Homelite
My old Homelite XL chainsaw bar (about 12") was badly worn and the 42 tooth drive chain is only available specially made. I found a 12" Oregon bar with the front sprocket my old one never had. on ebay for older Homelites and it was for an S48 chain. The S48 has the #91 drive tooth (.050" groove) as did my original. Only differences are 6 more drive teeth. The new bar and chain were an excellent upgrade for my little saw. (Those that snicker at its size don't when they see it work.) Rebuilt the carb, new fuel and oil lines, and replaced the disintegrated, obsolete duckbill valves with in-line ones = Runs like new.

Worth it - cuts like a champ
Great deal for a very hard to find chain. I have a 30+ yr old Homelite XL & I could not find a chain for it locally after hitting not just the big box stores, but alse the ACE's & independent hardware stores in my area.
