After going through the reviews although low percentage on 5 stars and I know how Amazon tend to mix up their reviews, I thought for the price go for it. Received very quickly, after unpacking and reading instructions, tried the QR code which for some reason didn't work so downloaded the app from Play store. Although phone said Bluetooth connected it would not connect to gimbal. To my surprise a UK phone number was given so called them, within a minute the lady had identified I had downloaded wrong app, should have been Pro version. Once installed everything worked a dream, the phone I was using was a Huwei Y6 2019, every function worked correctly. Seemed solidly built, well impressed, having used a professional Steadicam in past life, considering massive price difference it performed very well. Make sure the phone is balanced centrally in holder by checking one side of phone does not tilt by itself in same direction otherwise it is harder for the servo mechanism to correct, I also found with the Y6 not to have too fast zoom speed as it got a bit jerky. Some reviewers have complained about the app having glitches, only thing I found was if you tried to pair Bluetooth on the app, in my case a no no, but pairing on the phone first the app immediately. To summarise, excellent customer service, no waiting and the usual cliche "It does what it says on the tin!"

This gimbal is fairly easy to use, once you know how to get it going. The bluetooth connection was a bit tricky at first as the instructions only show the initial procedure - subsequent connections are not, but with a bit of trial and error it's quite straightforward. It responds well and practice is required to make really fluent videos. I've yet to explore all the features, but they seem to be ok. As I paid less than £60 I'm quite pleased with its' value so far. The ability to charge the phone at the same time as taking a video is a bonus as the gimbal's battery is more than enough for a few hours of shooting. Overall I think it's good value for money, especially if, like me, this is your introduction to using this type of device.

I've had a few Gimballs before, but what I love about this one is how simple it is to use. It stabilises the phone really well and it's super lightweight. It's really easy to fit in your bag without taking up too much room or being too heavy. Despite how light it is, it also feels fairly sturdy. The setup using the app was also simple and fast. Looking forward to trying this one out more!

Wobbles and despite following instructions I cannot get to to steady for filming. Will be returning

Received this item today and was excited to get it fired up when taking out of the packaging. Unfortunatly the remote control is missing!!! All other setup done with ease and the item seems to be well made. Rather annoyed that item advertised and noted on the packaging is missing. Attempted to contact the seller so will see what response I get.

I had been looking for an affordable gimbal for my phone, as holding my phone steady on my hand was really difficult. When attached to this gimbal and connected through the app it is very steady and my recordings have improved so much. Support is good from Hohem and the app can do so much that I’m still trying out techniques and effects. Also comes with a stand, which is great for video chats and if you want to be in the picture or video and you can use the small remote control to start the video, or take the picture.

This is a great device! It enables you to smoothly manoeuvre around your subjects. When you play it back, the filming is steady. You simply install an app on your phone, pair them, place your phone in the gimbal and film away. 🎥 The gimbal folds away neatly into a small carry pouch. It has a remove control and the base turns into a stand. I love the feature where you can lock it on a person or object, as they move it follows them. Bit creepy at first but you will get use to it. My only bug bare is I can't use it with my phone as my phone is too wide! So be aware it is not for every dimension of phone. It does give you the measurements in the description. 😕 Also the battery life but that maybe because it is in constant use here! 😜 In my picture, I have unscrewed the base & attached the gimbal to a tripod for some filming.

Bought this for the intention of using abroad on my nature trip. The reviews lead me to making this purchase of an unknown brand. The item arrived in nice packaging. the gimbal itself was of decent build but in terms of functionality and smoothness it is rather inconsistent. the app keeps forcing me to connect to the Internet and therefore disturbs my ability and efficency of getting on with moments when I want to capture something quickly. Also, the features on the app such as the inception effect or rotator are flawed as the phone ends up filming part of the gimbal, and yes I have adjusted my camera levels but nothing works. Also the smoothness applies 90% of the time but quite often it staggers and lags thus leaving with with footage which has blips in moments I capture. Very disappointed and will not try this brand again
