Fast when it works, which isn't often under Windows 11
EDIT: It has started working again after the latest big Windows 11 update. Bumping it up from 1 to 4 stars.ORIGINAL REVIEW:If you have Windows 11, stay away. Just do a web search for "e1460-b305" - clearly I am not the only one encountering this problem, and it seems to apply to a lot of other Epson products as well. The only way I can get it to work under Windows 11 is to uninstall everything Epson related and then reinstall it all. After that, it will work until I either turn it off, unplug it, or restart Windows, then I have to do the whole process again.Even under Windows 10, it was extremely finicky. It would only work with the supplied 3 foot cable, and it was very temperamental about which USB port it was plugged into.Having to use a power brick to get full speed is super annoying. I haven't looked yet, but I would hope newer products with a USB C connection only need one cable.Scan quality is poor too with a consistent curve that is impossible to correct, like it feeds faster on one side than the other, but I think it may actually be software related. I've tried adjusting every setting available but to no avail.

Issues after 2.5 years, about 1800 scans later
I love the portability. Very handly and reliable until...Streaks, blurred copies after about 1800 document scans. I have cleaned the glass numerous times. Some days it performs better than others. Wish I got insurance on it. But 2.5 years is pretty good considering I run my business mostly electronically. Bummer technology doesn't hold up longer like the older devices prior to the 2000's.

had some issues, BUT resolved by the vendor quickly.
I had some issues where there was a line on the back part of the scan. After contacting the vendor, he rushed out a replacement.

Love this scanner
Working on a project by scanning old job requests so they can be stored as files and quickly accessed. I found this scanner and read several reviews before purchasing. I decided to go ahead and purchase, and I am so glad I did!Pros:1. Small enough to fit on a desk without taking up too much room.2. Portable and can be taken to meetings or trade shows.3. The auto document feeder is a great feature when you need to scan several pages that must be saved together as one file.4. Very easy set-up. Since is does not come with a disk, you just download the driver from your PC.5. With all the great features of this scanner, my favorite is the quality look of the scans. When scanning a color page, the scan looks great with vivid colors, crisp and clean. I have used an overhead scanner that cost twice as much with less quality scans.Cons:1. It's a little loud, but not annoying.2. Not really sure this is a con. The document feeder will scan 7-8 pages together with no issues; however, when you stack more than 7-8 pages in the document feeder, the weight of the paper causes the feeder to feed multiple pages together. To solve this problem, start with approx. 5 pages in the document feeder and begin scanning. As it starts to scan, continue to add 3-4 pages at a time in the doc feeder until your full job has been scanned. This will ensure all pages are saved together as one file.I would buy this scanner again and am really impressed!

This scanner rocks
Pros:* The advertised "up to 25pp/min" is obtained at the setting you're most likely to use: 300dpi, duplex. (It'll slow down if you go to 400+dpi)* You can run from USB power if you want. (But it'll run 4x slower)* The drivers for Mac aren't bloated. You don't have to install the whole software bundle - just the drivers if you want - and then you can use Mac's lightweight and sensible "Image Capture" program.* Installing drivers doesn't demand a reboot.* The parts that will wear out over time are replaceable, cheaply. ($25 for the take-up roller, $15 for the rubber page separator)* Unit is solidly built. The paper feed guides might appear spartan but they appear to work very well.Caveats:* You won't get 25pp/min unless you use the external power brick, and use USB3.0.* For proper page ordering, you're instructed to put the docs face down: can't be helped with a flat-ish paper path.* The unit's buttons don't do anything unless you're using the full software bundle.* I haven't tried the card-scanner, so I don't know if you can do that without the bundle.* Software not included; it has to be downloaded. (Is this really a problem?)* I haven't tried the bundled software yet, but other reviewers are mentioning that they're interface garbage. Sad. If you can made do with "Image Capture" then you should do so.
