Natural Gardening for Birds: Create a Bird-Friendly Habitat in Your Backyard

I found this to be a book not really just about gardening for the birds. It delves into all aspects of feeding and I was disappointed to see that putting out bread and baked goods was among the recommended feed for backyard birds. This has been discouraged because there are no real nutrients that the birds need, and it will just fill them with empty calories. That being said, it is an informative read, with Julie's wonderful sketches. I plan on leaving it out in one of my guest rooms for an easy read.

For my part, the pencil drawings were wonderful and complemented this phenomenal book well.

I have just begun to go through it. So far it is okay.

Julie strikes again. Very helpful in pointing us to gardening and landscaping with nature in mind.

It was exactly what I was looking for--practical suggestions. Also lovely illustrations.
