Ignition Switch Gas Cap Helmet Steering Lock Key Set Replacement for Honda Shadow VLX VT 750 400 600

Installed the ignition switch and gas gap on my 2011 Honda Shadow Phantom 750 and works great. To add the ignition switch you do have to cut and splice wires as they are not compatible with the originak plug and you only connect two wires to bike do not need to use other wires just cut them off. Attaches to original ignition bracket without much issues but you will need little customization with nuts and bolts.

I understand this is a under $20 kit. The gas cap and fork lock look more like polished aluminum than chrome. I have a 2003 homda shadow spirit vt750dc, to make the ignition switch work I had to splice the black wire and plug it in the the blue wire slot and red with black wire slot of my old switches connector . I pluged the red wire in to the red wire slot and had to drill out the switch from the old bracket bc the new bracket on new switch wont work.

Bought this for my 96 honda shadow ace 1100 and said it fit. Wrong size, plug, and is made stupid cheap. Can break this with a flathead worst by

Exactly what I needed saved so much money

The oem ignition switch alone is 70 bucks and this is a full set for 20. Obviously there are some cut corners like the ignition housing being plastic and the helmet lock being basically useless because it only opens 1/4 of and inch. The gas cap seems to fit well and is made out of "metal" though the cover is a little more floppy than the oem. You are getting what you paid for, something that technically works if you can cut off the incorrect plug (atleast for a 2007 shadow) and properly splice the wires. All in all better than a toggle switch or jamming a wire in the ignition plug.

The product is good quality, the connectors are not all the same, this one is different. I had to change out the old connector with the new to get this to work, but it works good.
