Bought these to remove worry of having an expensive pair of sunglasses fall from a pocket, or being left on a counter at a diner etc. They are a light, unobtrusive, and fairly well made item for the price. Once you squeeze the ends of your eye-wear arms into the rubber sockets, those puppies ain't a coming off. My only con is that those same well-gripping rubber sockets can, but not always, stretch after repeated on and off attachment and removal and loose elasticity. That's only happened once thus far and I own several pairs of these. For the price I'll just buy a replacement. Still recommend if you are looking for a low-cost eye-wear insurance policy.

My youngest son (6) was recently diagnosed with a slight astigmatism and farsightedness and needed glasses. Since he would only need them for reading, I wanted to get him some kind of lanyard that would allow him to wear them when needed without having to keep putting them in and out of a case. This worked for about four days, and then he managed to pull the rope out of one of the rubber end caps, probably by rigging to hard on the glasses. We tried to super-glue it, but it wouldn't hold, so into the trash it went.The reason I'm giving this three stars instead of one is because my oldest son's (he's 9, and nearsighted) is still in perfect shape. I think that with normal to light use, this product will be fine; just be aware that under greater duress, the product may fail.

I like these but what I have found is that in salt water the cord gets grimy and it is then hard to adjust. I still like them but I just have to wash them in fresh water.

does the job. wish it was a little longer and the rubber fastened to the sides a little tighter. but in all fairness, my glasses havent fallen off either.

Chums are the only way to go! I've had my sunglasses fall off and break because I used what was available instead of Chums, which I made a point of learning about after recently losing my second great pair of sunglasses.

The product says Universal fit, and while I know it won't fit every single pair of sunglasses, I have pretty standard wayfairer type sunglasses and the plastic hole that you put your sunglasses into is very small and would only partially fit over the end. Regardless, it seemed that the plastic was sticky and secure enough to hold, which it did for a day or two. Then it kept slipping out and eventually the plastic split making the product useless.

Not as universal as the name suggests, any glasses with thick arms aren’t compatible. For thin glasses it works as intended.
