Great shape to hold firmly on outboard motor
I have been having a lot of trouble with the rectangular muffs because they don't sit flush on my 50 hp Evinrude. These circular muffs fit much better and allow greater pressure to enter the water intake.

Good, Simple, Inexpensive
Works great for hooking up a hose to my 1996 Evinrude 25 hp outboard for running the motor to make sure everything's OK before launching in the spring. I run in fresh water so there's no need to flush at the end of the season. The unit does not seal perfectly, but it doesn't need to - just has to get enough water to the water pump to lubricate the pump and keep the motor cool, which it does.

I wouldn't buy anything else this work great!! It fits tight enough so you can get plenty of water going through your motor. Before this I bought one at Wal-Mart that I paid more money for it was a rectangle shape no water would come out of the tall tail, I ended replacing the water pump, then very hot water would come out it hurt to tough it. I ended up taking it to the shop and the mechanic told that I might be using the wrong motor flush. Sure enough I was, he recommended this one or even one just like it and now it flushes great...no problems!!

Sea Dog Motor Flush - Simple but works!
Simple design but works. Use this on 95 60hp Johnson on my 95 Aqua Patio Pontoon. Have only used is a couple of times but the Sea Dog motor flush holds on & does not move, covers the intakes completely & engine pulls water well. Ran the engine for several minutes and I don't think the Sea Dog moved at all despite all the water and vibrations. So far so good.

Not enough water will run thru the two small hoses to cool the engine
The round ears solved my problem.OK if you have a 200 hp or more outboard and you use the rectangle ears most likely the engine will over heat. Not enough water will run thru the two small hoses to cool the engine. My 225 4 stroke over heated on the rectangle ears. A friend told me he had the same problem until he went back to the round ears. The round ears solved my problem. Also for those of you that don't know never start your engine with the side water port hooked to the hose you will burn up your water pump. It is to flush the heads only with the engine off. Good Luck.

Great Price for muffs for outboard engine
I have used a few different main brands for outboard engines. These do the trick. Value. Does what it is supposed to do.

Works decent but does move
As long as you pay attention to it it will work. Can't say that it's clip and forget because it will shift some but it does work and it's fairly inexpensive.
