New Age, Neopagan, and New Religious Movements: Alternative Spirituality in Contemporary America

This was one of the texts for a Religious Studies course that I took. An absolutely super review of predominantly 20th century alternative spirituality in the US. The author describes his effort as "user-friendly". I agree, and have loaned or recommended the book to general reader friends. That is not to diminish the book as a fine jumping off point for research and sources.

I rented this used- textbook for a college class; it is exactly as described.

A wonderful book on the plurality of religions in the US.

Too many pages, but good information.Good reference book.
