UA worked closely with the Wales squad to develop performance product which can help give them the edge in Japan.Both home and alternate kits feature Under Armour’s Airvent ArmourGrid heat reduction technology, which will help keep the Welsh squad cooler and aid performance during the humid conditions in Japan later this year.Airvent ArmourGrid was created to meet the functional and performance needs identified by the players. It is a highly breathable, lightweight and durable woven fabric which allows sweat to be wicked away during the game. Mesh ventilation technology, featuring hundreds of tiny holes, will also help players from overheating without sacrificing fabric strength.The quartered-design on the front of both jerseys represents the corners of Wales uniting behind the national team and inspired by the medieval coat of arms of Llywelyn the Great, the plating effect found on a suit of armour and the line ‘…my strength and shield’ from the hymn ‘Bread of Heaven’*.These quarters are separated by a chevron shape designed at angles of 18.81 degrees** to nod to the year [1881] when the WRU was formed.PREORDERS WILL BE POSTED ON DAY OF RELEASE 20th JULY
