I picked this up because my wife and kids kept forgetting their keys. I mean, c'mon... how difficult is it to keep a key in your pocket?! I've managed to do it FOR DECADES. Anyhow, it was time to go digital. I chose this design because I like the contemporary, rectilinear design and felt it would be relatively timeless. The black finish matches the hardware on my other doors, too. It took a little finessing of the striker plates during installation so the door would close tight enough and the lock would still function smoothly, but I got it. You can program the keypad to the code of your preference, and I was happy to find my old lock tumbler fit perfectly in the new unit so I could still use my old keys that matched the other doors! We did have a brief instance where the lock shaft wasn't fully opening/closing but since cycling through the lock/unlock process with the keypad it's been fine. Will probably buy some more of these for my other doors.

I wasn't expecting much from something in the "Amazon Basics" line, but this keypad deadbolt seriously impressed me. It looks great, works smoothly, and was a breeze to install—even for someone like me who usually avoids DIY projects like the plague. Install? No Sweat. It took me maybe 25–30 minutes with just a screwdriver and a little patience. The instructions were clear, the parts were all labeled, and I didn’t need to drill any new holes. That’s already a win in my book. Stylish + Sturdy. The matte black finish is super clean-looking and actually feels high-end. The handle has some nice weight to it—not that cheap, hollow feel. I didn’t think a door lock could be a style upgrade, but here we are. Keypad is Clutch. Setting up user codes was quick and easy. The buttons light up at night, which is great when I’m fumbling in the dark with groceries and no free hands. I also really appreciate the auto-lock feature (set to 30 seconds), because I’m that person who always wonders if I locked the door after I’ve already left. One Tiny Thing: It beeps loudly when you press the buttons—nothing deal-breaking, but if you’ve got a sleeping baby nearby, you’ll notice.

5 years later and still working excellently! I don’t know how my life would be without this!!!!! I am so thrilled I got this exact one as it’s been reliable, sturdy, easy to program and I maybe had to change batteries 1x! Highly recommend!

First one I bought didn't work, so I ordered a replacement. I thought Amazon was just replacing it and didn't want the original broken one back. Not the case. 30 days later I was billed for #2. My bad. The new one worked fine for a while. It is on a vacation home we own and come back & forth too. It worked for the week we were at the house then left for a month, when we got back to the house, we found the door unlocked. Maybe we forgot to lock it, but unlikely. Tried in vain to get it to work, pressing the reset button, new batteries, etc, but would not let me reprogram it. Following all of the directions, could never get it to work. So of course I was past the return date. So now I have 2 that don't work. Don't waste your time or money. Disappointing that Amazon would put out a product with their name on it that is this defective. 14% of the reviews are 1 star. I'm guessing many of those reviewed early on, and the lock stopped working at a later date? But who knows.

Worked great for 4 years. Now the handle keeps getting stuck and the buttons are wearing down. Time to replace.

Bought this to replace another keyless lock by a major manufacturer that had failed from getting rained on. I was really impressed by the build quality of this lock for the price. Like that it has the full 10 key pad. Our other just had 5. Also, I think this one is stronger, meaning that when it faces a bit of resistance from seasonal door swelling, it doesn't bind up like the one we had before. We'll see how it holds up but happy so far

Great product

The lock and door handle look very nice. Installation was pretty easy as well. However, the programming was very confusing - too many code items to put in! I had bought 2 other more expensive fingerprint locks before and now realize, you get what you pay for. I’m returning this and purchasing the other more expensive lock. The programming of those (Even with the extra finger print programming) was so much easier than this one! On this lock, you have to change the programming code and your user code. Sounds simple but it’s NOT! On the more expensive fingerprint lock, I simply chose my user code, which then also became my programming code. On this lock there is simply too much to remember, the instruction manual will become lost over time and you will be stuck, not to mention frustrated to the max! Another problem I noticed is that the keys are tough to push down compared to the more expensive lock I bought. They stick and don’t always register, so you have to keep trying, ugh! It’s such a bummer that I now have to remove this lock and try to return it so I can get the other one again. Save yourself the trouble and just buy the more expensive lock with the finger print feature. After all, you get the lock for convenience not headaches! Hope this helps you!

El producto viene empacado de excelente manera, trae una platilla de instalación donde recomiendo elegir la medida mas cercana al borde de la puerta para evitar extender la chapa ya que trae la opcion de ajustarse a ambas medidas, elegi la medida más larga pues mi puerta tiene el orificio de 2 1/8" en esa medida, lo malo es que a mayor distancia le cuesta mayor trabajo al motor activar el pasador atorandose en algunas ocaciones pues justo fue mi problema. Necesitaras brocacierra bimetalia si tu puerta es con chapa de acero o normal si solo es madera, las medidas a usar son de 1" pulgada y 2 1/8" de pulgada esta ultima la compre tambien con amazon con el nombre Bosch 2608580421 Sierra de Agujero Bi-Metal Hole Saw, Gris, 2-1/8". trae todo lo necesario para su instalación y dos llaves fisicas, excepto herramientas. Por default su contraseña es 0000 pero puedes cambiarla sin problema despues de hacer la primera comprobacion de funcionamiento metiendo el pasador y pulsando el boton de candado, teclar 0000, boton de candado, teclear 0 y boton de candado. Todo esto biene en las instrucciones.
