Excellent Ventilation, Low Noise
I grabbed two of these since I started to notice mold appearing on the ceiling. These things are whisper quiet! I had grabbed another brand of fan previously, but returned it after seeing that these had a humidity sensor built in. I haven't had an issue with any mold since! Installation was simple with a bracket that you use in-between the joists. I didn't setup the additional switch feature, but I plan on adding that soon. It's easy enough to change the fan speed and the humidity sensor settings by pulling down on the cover although I'm not sure you will need to change them much once you have it dialed into the room. Don't go cheap on your bathroom fan. It will save you so much more money in the long run to pick these up!

For small height above the ceiling
I purchased this instead of another Panasonic from a local box store, because I didn't have a lot of space above the ceiling. I also bought it for being quieter than the old fan I had before.Compared to more popular models with humidity sensor, this one lacks timer adjustment control, so it's fixed to 20 minutes once the fan starts going. There are two adjustments you can make: Relative humidity (from 30 to 80%), and fan speed (50, 80, 110 CFM.)Another to note is the condensation sensor instead of humidity sensor even though the adjustment control still says RH (relative humidity) % just like on other models. Taking the description as is, one would have to assume that this may be better to prevent condensation on mirrors if that's what you're looking for. This was installed in a small bathroom (35 sq. ft.) mostly to prevent fogging up of the mirror, so it's set at 80 CFM with trigger RH % of 60. Putting it lower than 60% seems to make it too sensitive in my environment.

Best bathroom fan ever!!
Runs very quietly. We were'nt sure it was working when we first had it installed. Also very efficient. Takes a fraction of the time to clear the mirror and the room. Would definitely buy this again.

So quiet!
So quiet that when we first installed I told the electrician they weren’t working 😅 he showed me it was on even though I couldn’t hear it.

It's too quiet!
You know, you go into the bathroom and you have to take a monster dump and you start farting like a mad man. Well, you need a noisy fan to cover up those direct hits. This makes you have to sing, cough or pop your fingers.

The quietest exhaust fan’ available
As a licensed electrician in California, I discovered the Panasonic Whisper- quiet bathroom fans about 10-12 years ago. From the very first installation, these are the only fans I use. Exhaust fans are rated by the volume of noise they make and this rating is called SONE. Most of these Panasonic exhaust fans are rated as low as .3 (decimal point 3). Nutone are around 1.0. No one likes a noisy bathroom fan, so spend a few bucks more and get a variable-speed Panasonic and you will not regret it. FYI: where I can, I usually install a countdown timer switch because the fan is so quiet, the user often forgets to turn it off before they leave for the day.

No better than what I had before.
It is not quieter than our old fan is replaced. I contacted Panasonic to see if they had a solution. Telephone support was awful and no one responded to my email. If I hadn’t cut the hole and installed it, I would definitely have sent it back. I regret having purchased it. The seller is great and got it out quickly. And I don’t Fault them. Also, it’s supposed to turn itself off in 20 minutes is misleading and humidity sensor is not accurate. It comes on during the night at random. I placed a Bluetooth sensor up there and tracked actual humidity which confirmed it turns on at random. I placed a plastic bag over the humidity sensor, as directed by Panasonic Support. In case you’re wondering it is hooked up correctly using the low-voltage switching and 110 to the fan. I could have purchased a timer switch for old fan and been way ahead. You got me this time Panasonic, it won’t happen again.I regret buying it. Months later Panasonic sent out a new motor and logic board. Still too loud but at least it only turns on when humidity goes up now. I had to do all the work myself, maybe 8 hours of work for me to make this work.
