Anything I need thickened but can't use heat I can use this instead. The key is lots and LOTS of stirring. I've even used a mini USB powered mix frother as a wisk to whip whatever liquids I need thickened. The more whipping, the thicker the solution results will be. And even after vigorous whipping leaving it overnight the solution will even be thicker the next day. The type of thickness it creates is more like a gelatin consistency than a pudding type. So thickened, but not smooth. But it has helped me fix or correct stuff I accidentally added too much water to. I've used in on handmade lotions where I mix two different properties lotions into one using distilled water, but ended up with too runny of a solution - so I added this and whipped away and fixed it. I use commercial condiment dispensers in my fridge to keep everything compact neat and tidy. But to get said condiments into the bottles I had to water them down a bit. But too much water and no one wants runny condiments. So with this I fixed watered down condiments to get into these bottles. Now my fridge looks clean and tidy and no more a variety of awkwardly shaped bottles of different sizes and shapes. So far I've corrected/fixed condiments, smoothies, lotions and even water based paints.

I bought this item because the video showed that the water would remain clear with this product. However, it does not. I mixed the product very well and followed the mixing instructions. Also, the water tastes bitter. Not good.

I'm a Prop Master in the film industry. I use this stuff to simulate all sorts of food-based props. From fake Milkshakes to maple syrup, this stuff takes any liquid to the perfect thickness you need.

A little bit goes a long way.

Doesn't dissolve evenly in a glass of water, some sinks to bottom even after vigorous stirring. May have to add small continuous amounts while stirring.
