Thoughtful Design, Built To Last a Lifetime All our metal parts are forged in solid cast iron and then powder coated to provide a durable, solvent free coating that’s highly resistant to wear and acts as a tough barrier layer preventing rust forming on the base metal. We only use heavy duty cast ceiling mounting brackets and a smooth action bearing system which makes hoisting and lowering a fully laden pulley airer smooth and easy. Our wooden laths are responsibly sourced, kiln dried, aged, untreated and smooth sanded to ensure your clothes will not snag or stain and are easy to load and remove. Heavy duty cotton pulley cord with a nylon core is supplied as standard. Using an airer also has huge cost saving and eco benefits too. The average tumbler dryer uses 2.5kWh of energy to dry a load. Dry four loads a week and that’s 520kWh less energy used each year. What Size Airer Should I Buy? Finding your perfect sized laundry airer comes down to the size of the room and the size of your household! If it’s just you, or you and a partner our four lath design will handle a week’s washing aired over a few days. For bigger broods the 5 and 6 lath designs adds a useful amount of extra capacity. The 4 lath 1.5 and 1.8m lengths fit comfortably in the average UK kitchen. The larger ceiling clothes airers we produce can hold up to 18kg of washing, that’s equivalent to two full loads for an average washing machine.
