Satisfying quality
These are my very first set of eco friendly toothbrushes. I am confident to say that I am considering to continue to support bamboo brushes. I was skeptical at first, as eco friendly products at times dwindle in quality that we’re accustomed to minimize impact to the environment. These toothbrushes, however, are not the case. The quality feels very high. The bamboo finish is very smooth and slick. It’s very lightweight but also very strong and sturdy. It doesn’t bend as many plastic toothbrushes often do.The bristles also surprised me. I had the impression it wouldn’t hold up to my rigorous brushing habits on a daily bases. They hold up quite well. These are soft bristles rather than firm. Soft are supposed to be better for your teeth and enamel. The only con, which doesn’t really matter to me now, is the size of the brush head. It is smaller than what I was used to using. After about a week of use, I got accustomed to the head size. I still get a great quality cleaning, so that did not impact my score at all.Overall, I do highly recommend these. It is a great way to reducing the use of plastics. I never considered the impact plastic toothbrushes have on the environment. If every person goes through several brushes a year, that is an insane amount of plastic causing havoc to our planet and ocean. This is a great product to support in doing your part to reducing the use of plastic.

Bristles stay in, but inferior to twigs.
Couldn't give 5 stars because my son doesn't like how they smell. They are not really eco-friendly either. They come individually wrapped in a plastic pouch inside of a cardboard box, inside the shipping package. The bristles are nylon and they are probably made in china so factor in all the carbon used to make them and get them here and that's a big footprint. If you want to brush your teeth with the smallest footprint possible, you can gnaw on the tip of a twig from an apple tree until the fibers resemble a course brush and then polish your teeth with it. Don't knock it 'till you've tried it because no commercial product cleans teeth better or comes close to the value of a fresh twig. I digress. I bought these for their aesthetic and because it was a little less plastic for a family of four that replaces our brushes monthly or whenever someone gets a cold. I really like the way these brushes look, but since my son hates the smell of bamboo for some reason, he has gone back to the standard Colgate brushes, ruining the high-end spa look of the toothbrush caddy. I gave them 4 stars because they are not expensive, look nice, and the bristles stay in.

Honest producer and compostable packaging!
I bought these in an effort to reduce my plastic footprint. The price point was great and the various colors will help the family identify their own brush. I like that there are enough brushes that we can go almost an entire year without purchasing more. I was very pleased that they arrived a day ahead of schedule, and were packaged in cardboard and paper. I like that the producer is honest about the bristles being plastic and non-biodegradeable, many are dubious on this front. They also suggest how you might be able to remove the bristles and recycle them. I am going to talk with my recycling company how best to package them to be recycled so they don't fall through the literal cracks (we have streamline recycling where I live). I hope to update this post when I learn how. I also hope to update with pictures, after we have used them for a bit. I am so grateful to be able to support sustainably minded producers!

Just what I needed!
We are grandparents of 15 children, plus their parents. Plus, we have a lot of visitors. I wanted guest toothbrushes that were individually packaged, were good quality (for temporary use at least), different colors to help identify and had handles that would accommodate each person writing their name on the handle without it washing off in water. The plastic toothbrushes just didn't work because the names washed off in water and then no one knew whose was whose. They ended up either cluttering the drawer because no one would use them or ended up in the trash. They were essentially one use toothbrushes, i.e., disposable. I wanted something that would last at least during their visit, and possibly into the future. Well, these are perfect. And, to top it off, they are great toothbrushes!
