FLAMMA FV02 Doubling and FV03 Character Vocal Pedals
The Flamma FV02 Doubling and FV03 Character pedals are very useful pedals that can inspire creativity and fun! Each provides its own unique spin on vocal alteration. With the FV02 Doubling, you can double your voice or have an ensemble of you. Or, you can add a pitch shifted version of yourself, either as a baby voice or an octave down voice, or both! The FV02 gives a chorusing effect. With the FV03 Character, the first setting pitches your voice a tritone down, perfect for a horror vocal voiceover. Or, you can pitch your voice up an octave to female or baby timbres. Or, you can have a vocoded robot drone in three varieties and sing a melody over it. The Blend knob will allow you to blend your natural voice in as much as you like. Both pedals can add reverb to your vocals, available in three types, which all sound very nice. Both pedals have a nice option of disabling only the vocal mode effect (indicator around switch turns red) while keeping the reverb, or double click to turn both effects off (unlit). The guitar input is designed to give your guitar a little bit of reverb shimmer and works best with an acoustic-electric or clean electric sound, but you could certainly run your guitar into a distortion pedal then into the Doubling if you wanted some distortion. I wouldn’t distort your sound after the doubler because you’ll want to keep the reverb clean and crisp. One tip: Don’t let your input signal be too hot. I had the best results using an external mic preamp with output volume set fairly low. With this setup, you would switch the XLR input to line. The other useful option is just to plug your mic directly into the pedal. I used a good dynamic mic and set the gain about halfway on the Doubling and 2/3 on the Character. Use a small flathead screwdriver to turn the gain knob. Be careful not to set the input gain too high or you will get a very loud, nasty squeal back! The enclosures seem sturdy, and I love the vibrant colors! All in all, these are nice pedals that can add some creative effects once you learn how to use them.

dont understand the marketing strategy
I don't understand the marketing of flamma..I bought the corrector which has pretty good reverb for the $ I thought..the unit is noisy I agree..the controls are kinda like what your gonna set and just leave..they would be cumbersome to someone who wants to quickly dial up different sounds..I don't mess with pitch correction I try so sing in pitch lol. I use the echo a little its pretty cool but all this takes time to set up correctly..you have to switch to this "red" mode to switch correction off and on...a better feature would be switching echo off and on...if you don't want correction I just turn it 0% off with the knob. my advice to flamma. haha. I was looking at other flamma products like the doubling pedal and the character pedal and guess what ? they both have reverb on them..why would I buy these? how many times do i want to buy reverb..not sure how about once lol.

Surprisingly Robust Vocal Effects Pedal at a Reasonable Price
I've tried loads of guitar pedals, from Amazon imports to boutique American brands, so when I saw the Flamma FV02 I wasn't sure what to think. Price-wise it sits sort of in between the two extremes, somewhere around 120$. I think you could be fooled by its appearance into categorizing it with the Ammoons, Gokkos, and Amazon Basics of the world, but this Flamma line incorporates a lot of features you would expect from higher end products. It sports a soft footswitch, both XLR and 1/4 ins and outs with options how to mix the signals, a ground lift switch, a subtle digital reverb and a number of voice doubling functions (I imagine this goes for the entire FV Line, just replace Doubling with Harmonizing or whatever). I also really like their proprietary LED placement and interface. It looks cool and offers some more switching options than your usual ON/OFF switch.Sound quality is pretty much in line with what you'd expect from a modern digital pedal. The effects themselves aren't radical, but they will definitely fatten up a voice and the minimal controls do let you shape the sound fairly effectively. The power draw is on the high end requiring a stated 500ma. I'm not sure if that's entirely necessary or just to have high headroom but if you're trying to power it from a daisy chain or other guitar pedal power supply just be sure you have an output that can support that. Fortunately Flamma provides a Wallwart power supply if you don't mind dedicating an outlet to this pedal.I think the only part that is kind of disappointing is the graphic design of the FV02. I realize this is subjective and has no impact what so ever on the functionality, but it kind of looks like it was assembled in clip art and as I mentioned earlier does a real disservice to a quality product by making it look a bit cheap. All that being said I think you would have a hard time finding a similar feature set anywhere else for under 200$.

Cheaper is not always better
Received the Flamma FV04 and was pleased with the visual effect and couldn’t wait to check it out but when I did finally have time to set it up I took out the instructions and was disappointed there wasn’t enough information on the very small sheet to figure it out, I actually had to go to YouTube for some help. Finally down to business with everything turned on I became very disappointed. The reverb was good but the Harmony is horrible, I followed directions the best I could. My son said it was ok if you want to listen to Minnie Mouse , Donald Duck and Goofy. I can’t use the harmony at all and that was why I bought it. Good luck if you buy it but for me it’s not what I expected

The media could not be loaded.
