I used this unit in conjunction with my Insta360 OneX2 camera on a selfie stick. The magnets themselves are quite strong, as initially had it attached to the fender of my Jeep. However, the ball joint head it comes with is not good at all. With the way of tightening the ball joint being via a small round knob, one has only so much leverage and grip. I ended up using a rubber glove to get the most grip and tighten it as much as I could. I thought it was on pretty tight. However, once I started driving, the selfie stick began moving inward. I got out of the car and tried moving the selfie stick (attached to the ball joint head) and found that it was very easily moving around, as if I'd barely tightened it. I tried tightening the ball joint knob but could not get it any tighter. In the end, I repositioned the magnets to the drivers door just in front of the side mirror. I did this so that if the selfie stick started to move backwards, the relative wind of driving would push it to the side mirror, keeping it vertical. Again good magnets, but if using it with a selfie stick, ball joint head probably won't hold.

This is an awesome product for the price!!! Holds up to speeds over 100mph!!! Very impressive! Magnets are detachable!so if you can do light metal fabrication, you can make another plate and use the magnets from this frame!!! Right out the box, it's ready to use and it works flawless!!! I would recommend to others for sure. Only used a go pro, but I have a dji phone gimbal that are the same mount threads, but I would only recommend using that at low speeds!!! This unit do the job, however, be careful we’re you put this on your car. Since magnets are so strong it can leave you marks on the paint for each and every magnet. I wish I can take a picture to show it. Now I have two circles marques on my hood 😩

Build quality is great and the magnet is incredibly strong.I use mine for gopro, but you could easily mount an slr camera and expect it to stay firmly in place.

The magnets on this thing are extremely strong, I place them on my fender or anywhere on my Jeep and it will stick. Freeway, trails anywhere. Super strong. But the camera swivel is hard to tighten and lose a yo on the trail. Very weak.
