No. The hub has a USB-C connector which acts a pass-through for your laptop power adapter. The version of the hub I have was good for 65 watts, which wasn't enough for my HP eclipse which has a 90 watt charger. Fortunately the laptop has a second USB-C connection and I use one for power and one for the hub. The hub has been great! Especially at the price point.

yes, i have this laptop (C630 model) and it works. Laptop screen + 2 HDMI Monitors.

Q: Is this fully compatible with the Thinkpad T480s?

If I'm not mistaken, I once tried the device to it, it should be compatible, I use it for Lenovo X280 with no abnormal behavior shown
