IRIS USA Cat Litter Box, Large Cat Box Enclosure, Top Entry with Litter Catching Lid, Enclosed with Scoop, White/Gray

THIS CAT BOX IS PERFECT! (Jump to second paragraph if you don’t want to read the history of cat boxes in this house lol). When our cat was a kitten we used a low to the ground shallow litter box she could get in and out of, she was tiny. Once she was ready for a bigger cat box we got a top entry so that the dogs couldn’t get to it. It was great and we had purchased a second one after a year (I like to only use the plastic ones for a year or so and then get a new one). When I went to get a replacement the third time I saw the stainless steel ones and decided to try it, only it wasn’t top entry, just had high sides and back. Well, our very particular cat refused to use it. She would get in it and then jump right out, the drama lol. So I came back on to reorder the same one we had been using, but I saw this one and it looked a bit more functional so I decided to try it. I’m so glad I did!This will be the one that I come back to order again! It’s the perfect size for her, good price, keeps the scent contained, is easy to scoop the sticky yucky pee out and it keeps the dogs out lol. But what I REALLY love is that when I go to clean it, the top FLIPS UP (and stays attached!!!!) and any cat litter that has tracked onto the lid, where the cat jumps in and out of the box, goes right back into the cat box! Our old top entry ones didn’t flip open, you had to fully remove the lid every time you went to clean it which always resulted in spilt litter from the tracking and honestly was just a pain in the butt compared to this one! Would highly recommend this litter box!

This has been my cat's go-to litter box for the past year. I would say this litter box is perfect honestly.It's discrete, but not so much so that you're making your cat do their business in a completely closed of space with no air filtration.It's large. so my cat has enough space to move around (she likes to stand through the hole)It's easy to clean. Depending on litter, it could clump to the material. But a decent scrub should be fine to get it off.Overall, very efficient. Works great in my space, and my cat enjoys it!

Got the high-sided kitty litter box for a big cat that was littering outside the lower-sided litter box I first used. Well, it solved the problem 95%. Some of the dustfree litter still comes out on feet, but not from the cat moving litter inside box. I don't use the lid. I have cat and box in a big catio. The only reason for a 4 star not 5 is because the rounded corners don't allow me to fully get the urine balls that are stuck right in the corner using the scooper. So if that company is reading this, please make the corners square so we can capture the pee balls 100% and more easily.

So much cleaner and quieter lol my cats have different personalities and preferences but a 3 of them love these tote ideas. Even my fat cat loves to use them over the opened side one my other cat prefers . It doesn’t smell, the size can fit a fat cat lol and the lift up, easy to wipe down lids are just a cherry on top. Absolutely love the lids. I can’t say I see a difference in litter trails but we have floor mats for that

My boyfriend has a cat so I had to come up with the best way to do the weekly litter change. I like the thought of having a bag that the litter goes into that you can just pull the bag with the old litter out of the cat box. So I bought this. I don't ever want to shovel, scrape, wash, or pour old litter out of a cat box again. Plus I like the feature of the litter not going all over the floor.The first week I tried the cat scratched through the bag and I ended up having to clean the cat box.The second week I tried putting parchment paper in between the bag and the litter and the cat scratched through that.My boyfriend had a bunch of framing mat board for free from someone so I cut that and made a template. I am sure that's going to work out perfectly but I think cardboard would work just as well too.It comes with three bags that are kind of thin. I used those thick black garbage bags (leaf bags?) that I cut in half and duct tape the end of one together for next time. So I get two out of one bag. Not sure if they have to be thick bags I just have them on hand.The downside is I would have to cut the cardboard or mat board and make about 50 a year. I plan on having a template and doing quite a few at a time so I just have them on hand to use. Also I would have to get one box of garbage bags and cut and tape those too.The upside is changing the cat litter takes just a few minutes. I'm so much happier! It's not something I dread anymore. It's so easy. Plus I don't see anything going into the air that I would want to breathe in.One more note when I feed Melanie just chicken that I cook in a slow cooker she poops less and it doesn't stink. 😁Update to previous post -Very happy with it still!One picture is showing the order in which I put it all together. Make sure you keep pulling the bag up in the process. Also put the gray ring in before you put the cat litter in otherwise litter will go under the grey ring. If you're moving it after it's assembled grab it from the bottom. Bag can be tucked under white ring to hide it. Also I have yet to use the scooper.The board you would need is going to be 15 by 15. If you're in a pinch you could get the foamboard that kids use for school projects at Walmart for under a dollar which would be two of them. Poster board is too short.The only thing I would change - the gray ring has a ridge on the inside. I will include a picture. The kitty litter does get on that ridge so I do have to put that in the laundry sink I just quick clean that with a paper towel and water. Not sure if they wanted you pour litter to that ridge. It's definitely not needed.We will be moving into an RV soon and the cat box fits perfectly in front of the passenger seat when we will be parked.I still love this! So much easier! It keeps the cats from scratching out the litter from the box. I don’t have to walk by and see any kitty deposits. Best of all it prevents my naughty little dog from being able to get in it

I love the Iris top litter boxes usually.What i love about this one is that it opens so easily to clean. Negative is that it is extremely light weight, and even with slip protector under it, this one has tipped over several times. So it frightened my kitten and I need to out him into it. I love the design! Just wish it was heavier like the other Iris top enter ones.
