The case is nice and does the job. Probably 4.5 stars as the chrome side pieces are not as substantial as the original. However, I was able to reuse the sides from my original key fob. I also reused the back from my original in order to keep the logo. Everything went together just right and works properly.

My old key fob stopped working. A new key fob and the programming at an auto parts store $125. My year and model was not programmable as a DIY. Seeing this product, just the key fob case I wonder if the case could be the problem. The open button was down in the case and not up like when new. I took the old one apart and tried the circuit board out of the case to see if the circuit board was OK. (I had to hold the battery in place while I was doing this testing.) The circuit board worked. I knew the problem was the old case. Ordered this product and the old circuit board was a direct fit into it. The new case comes not assembled making it easy to see how everything goes together. Especially after taking the old one apart. Check the old battery or just buy a new battery to make sure the battery isn't the problem. I checked the battery on the old key fob first to make sure it wasn't the problem. The case costs around $10 so I saved $115 by not going to a new fob with programming. Very happy with my decision.

This is a decent replacement if you need it. The buttons are stiffer than factory remotes. They are plain (no Chevy emblem on back) which could be a problem identifying which keys your grabbing if you have multiple GM cars; but I used my factory backs with the rest of the new case which worked fine. Otherwise they'll work and much cheaper alternative to dealership. Would buy again.

Great looking upgrade compared to the stock one. Easy to assemble, works great!

Pop the battery cover off first, then pry the bigger pieces apart, remove circuit board,push the battery to the top and pull out, reverse to install the battery and circuit board. You need a small flat blade screwdriver or a dinner knife,not sharp to pry apart,looks good

Looks simple enough but it’s not. After disassembling the old one, my attempt to install main board in new one was hampered by the fact that the little contact bracket for the battery doesn’t fit right. After several attempts I finally used the old one to make it work. I purchased two and they were both the same. Next time I will order a higher quality product.

Product worked well to replace outside cover on my 2014 Silverado key fob made it like new was easy to replace and seems like a good quality product.
