ALEX Jr. Tots Collage By Color

I bought these as a hands on learning tool for my 18 month old. I found her attention span was not ready for it. I pulled these back out when she was 21 months old and she did much better. It's great that it doesn't require glue. Getting her to stick to only that color would only work if I pulled out just those colors only. I opted to let her just do her own thing. She had lots of fun with it and I found it a great way for her to play with the different textures of the papers and items. Definitely recommend.Con: Some of the items like the heavy cards and the cute buttons are too heavy for the self adhesive cards and when hung up they kept falling off. Those will need glued on. I attached a picture. I bought various kids by this company so there are cards from several kits hanging up.

I love Alex crafts. I always know I'm getting a quality product when I order something from them. This is no exception. This set comes with 3 different colored boards and a big package of items and trinkets to color coordinate onto the corresponding board. It's a great opportunity to teach colors, matching, grouping, counting and shapes. And because you can peel everything on and off the boards at will its reusable. You can put all the yellow trinkets on the yellow board and then decide only blue trinkets go on the yellow board. The combinations are only limited by your imagination.

My three year old really loved doing this project, she had a great time sticking all the items down on the art board. We were both so proud of her work, that we hung them up on the fridge. After a while, the items started falling off the board onto the floor. I tried re-sticking them but they just kept falling off. The stickers have about the same amount of life in them as the adhesive on the board, so they fell off to, and can not be relied upon to help hold the collage together. I am giving it three stars because of how much my child enjoyed this project, but I am sad I cannot keep around.

My daughter had a lot of fun with this at 2 years old. I loved how things were packaged in individual baggies. They give you way more materials than you could possibly fit on the sticky pages which we saved for another craft day. My only complaint is that the sticky pages were not strong enough to hold the buttons provided on. All 3 inevitably fell off after she hung up her artwork.

I really liked the idea of this product, so I got it for my three year old for Christmas. The cuteness far outweighed the execution. The three sticky boards are not very sticky at all. Even the tissue paper falls right off of it, so there's no way that thick cardboard or plastic buttons are going to stay on there. We did one board, and I ended up gluing everything to the board so I could save her art, but with the other two I didn't even bother. After both of us getting frustrated because nothing would stay on the board, I let her make a mess with the tissue paper strips, and then threw everything away except the stickers. I can't figure out why it is so expensive. It's basically just stickers and tissue paper with three buttons and some cardboard. I feel pretty silly for buying it. I give it two stars because of the stickers, which my daughter loved.

Great for developing fine motor skills and learning colors and sorting. My 22 month old could sort by color, but needed some help with getting the stickers off. Probably better for 2 1/2 or so, but can be used with as young as 18 months with some assistance.

This is an easy into art activity. The sticky paper is easy for toddlers to stick the items onto and waaay less mess than glue. The color sorting is a nice educational component. I wish it had included more base sheets and/or a better variety of "toppings".

3 Year old granddaughter enjoyed this--but did all 3 collages in 15 minutes. Kind of pricey for 15 minutes of craft entertainment--$1 a minute?

Just OK..... A bit much for £10..... Pieces kept falling off once we made the collage

Nice product! Alot came with it the only downside is it's really targeted as a one time use with child. So I bought magnetic tape and now we can use it over and over again... i really had to rig it (the pieces and background) to make it worth the cost and more than one time activity with my son.

It is so hard to find age appropriate activities for children under 3 but this is perfect. Great for colour recognition and full of lots of exciting textures, perfect for hands on little ones.

Awesome craft kit!! Wish they were a bit cheaper but loved that it had everything needed to complete the crafts.
