Bites Into Most Surfaces and Not Too Frustrating to Mount
These were for my 2020 Otso Waheela C that I built as a monster cross rig with GRX 810 drive train and very wide tires. After 2 years on 29x2.1 Vittoria Terreno Drys, I wanted to try stealthy thinner rubber and swapped these in at 700x42. Immediately, the difference in size looked SO WEIRD and felt very twitchy to steer. It also lowered my BB to where over roots, I broke off a piece of my Well-Go pedal.Install -For the front tire install, I hastily added Stans then tried to mount and inflate as an experiment but it would not seat to rim and lost air in minutes. For the rear tire, I first seated to rim then removed TL valve and reniflated to *10 PSI higher than rx and vigorously shook the sealant into every crevice - shaking while holding the rim parallel to the ground through all 360 degrees -- a mounting hack from a pro bike mechanic*.Ride -Not supple in the least. In fact the ride comparison to the 2.1 Terreno's was so harsh, I began to immediately shop for a replacement tire. Maybe something wider, such as a 45mm? But having now ridden on every possible surface from gravel to grass, these tires really are worth every penny in terms of sheer traction and predictability.They bite into loose climbs, provide stable traction in soft terrain/dare I say mud, did not slip in tall, thick grass, and were perfect over gravel - rode over pea sized up to construction gravel and these tires did not flinch. On pavement, wet or dry, they inspired confidence to go at speed around bends or downhill. While certainly not as fast rolling as the near slick middles the Terreno's, they did get up to speed and maintained a nice pace.Had hoped Otso Sally would become faster but this was only minimally so, despite a 10mm difference in tire width. Beginning to think the bike is just slow no matter what tires are installed. Just wish IRC produced a tan sidewall. As manufacturers of some of the best tires over the span of my cycling lifetime, IRC just need to get on board giving more options to riders. Transition to these tires would have been much less drastic had they at least maintained the former look.

そこそこ走れる
舗装路からちょっとした里山くらいなら全然走れます。ガチオフロードだと滑るので、そこをメインに走るならTANKENのほうが良いです。ただ、全く走れないわけではないので、趣味程度で走るくらいなら問題ないと思います。2年くらい使い続けましたが、ひび割れもなく、ノブもある程度残っていたので、耐久力もそこそこあると思います。

The best all around gravel tire
The Boken Doublecross 700x42 performed flawlessly at this years RPI. It’s resistance to punctures and rolling resistance are fantastic. It is my tire of choice for all forms of gravel!!

使い勝手は抜群
グラベル用に購入。 フロントに装着して走ってますが、舗装でも土でも砂利でも十分なグリップを獲られます! また、ノブの量や形のわりに転がりは良いと思います。
