Flavor Name:Chamomile | Size:20 Count (pack of 6) Ridgways was originally founded in 1836 when Thomas Ridgway opened his first tea shop in King William Street in London. He quickly became well regarded for scouring the world for unique and exquisite teas from the finest tea gardens and then blending these to perfection. The company developed such a strong reputation that aspiring tea blenders would even pay for the privilege to work and be trained at Ridgways. As such in 1886 Thomas Ridgway was requested to produce a tea for Queen Victoria's own personal use and indeed was later appointed as tea merchants to King George VI. Today the Ridgways tea company continues this tradition and so remains the choice of the true tea connoisseur.

Not too sweet and fruity. Refreshing afternoon tea.
I want to start off this review by saying that I'm a picky tea drinker. So picky, that I really don't know exactly what I like when I'm shopping for tea. This tea was on special with a lower cost with Subscribe & Save, so it was an easy way to try it out. I figured if I hated it, I would just attach a couple of packets to a holiday card for a teacher or something since they are individually wrapped and sealed.Though I enjoy some fruity and citrus teas, I don't like them if they are too sweetly aromatic like the actual fruit. I would describe this tea's flavor as the flavor you would imagine a cooked spiced orange rind would taste. That may sound bad, but it's quite good to me. The spice is not too heavy or overbearing, but it is enough to rise in the steam up to your nose while drinking it. That gives me sort of an awakening of the senses and a feeling of renewed energy. For this reason, I take this tea in mid-afternoon when I'm feeling like I need a natural boost and refocus. I normally begin to feel a lull at around 3 in the afternoon, and this tea is like a splash of cold water on my face. The tea does not require any honey or lemon, as it is full bodied and finishes nicely with no bitterness. I have tried it with honey though, and it isn't at all a negative experience. I suppose I would call it more like a dessert with honey, or maybe something that would bring relief to a sore throat.I've not tried this as a cold tea, but imagine that served cold it would be excellent with orange wedges inside as a very refreshing drink to have relaxing at the close of a hot day of outside working on the yard. The value of this tea at its current price of over $9, makes this more of a luxury tea for me. My threshold on price would make this purchase a value at any price at $5 or lower. That being said, if I were having people over and treating them to an afternoon tea refreshment, this tea would be an a value for that sort of entertainment. Realistically, that situation isn't as common at our home as to incur the investment on a regular basis..

A good green tea
Ridgways green tea is not as acid as others while it still has a smooth flavor. Ordered the 6 pack because I've lost my local source. This will keep me in tea for a while.

Not a "pack of 6"
It reads, "20 count pack of 6" but I only received one 20 count. I can purchase a 20 count at a store for $1.99 each so I wouldn't have bought it.

High quality, brews to a distinctive flavor
Ridgway has managed to provide an excellent early morning beverage. It brews a mild flavor when the water is not too hot. This black tea has a nice spectrum of antioxidants.

Convenient, fragrant, unique antioxidants
I often get rooibos tea in loose form, but like to have the tea bags for a quick cup. Ridgeway has a convenient dispenser package that keeps the tea fresh. The aspalanthin and other antioxidants make a healthy refreshing drink any time of day. This and the other Ridgway teas I have (Darjeeling, English Breakfast, Typhoo) make nice house gifts for my friends who also like tea.Rooibos goes well with peppermint tea. For those who wish to experiment a bit with blends, I buy the Davidson Davidson's Tea Bulk, Organic South African Rooibos, 16-Ounce Bag bulk red & green rooibos Davidson's Tea Bulk, So African Green Rooibos, 16-Ounce Bag as well as their honey bush tea Davidson's Tea Bulk, South African Honeybush, 16-Ounce Bag and make a triple combination that has mild good flavor. The South African plants that provide these bush teas have an interesting folk medicine history for those who have an interest in ethnobotany.

Fantastic fruity tea; great with honey
Discovered this in Greece from one of my British friends, and it is the best tea I've ever drank! So I was lucky to get it on Amazon, and now I have to haul it back to Greece! We can't get it there!

Great tea!
This is the only Earl Grey tea my daughter will drink. I've secretly tried other brands when this brand wasn't available. She knew the difference right away. Purchasing a larger quantity from Amazon works well for us.
