The overall impression of the fragrance is floral, powdery and fruity. The top notes release the magic of black currant, Italian mandarin, violet and red berries. The heart notes kiss your skin with Bulgarian rose and Egyptian jasmine. Finally, the base notes diffuse down to vetiver and iris. This spring scent is a delightful companion during the daylight hours. Van Cleef & Arpels was founded in Paris, France in 1896 by Alfred Van Cleef and Salomon Arpels as a luxury jewelry company. Over the years, royalty, politicians, socialites and entertainers have all worn its adornments. While the company is primarily known for its jewelry, the business began designing fragrances in 1978 with First for Women. The company continued to be a family-run business until it was acquired by Compagnie Financière Richemont in 1999.
