Daron Skymarks 747-8i Air Force One (VC25B) 1/200 Scale w/Gear SKR1076 New 2020

Absolutely Awesome model of the next Air Force One Presidential aircraft. This color scheme was proposed by the former President, and unfortunately, the new aircraft will not see this color scheme.I think that it would have been a beautiful aircraft. The sitting President and the Air Force, have selected a modified paint scheme of the current aircraft.This could become a collectors aircraft since this livery will most likely not see the light of day, so get it while you can! I had some problems getting the nose gear and a wing to fit properly.Still it goes together pretty well, just take your time and don't force the fit.It is worth your patience!The smaller version of this aircraft, without any landing gear went together much easier. There are only a few parts, but it makes up into an absolutely beautiful modelI purchased both the smaller in flight model and this larger one with landing gear, and I wouldn't trade away either one. Both are awesome in the quality of the finish!

New to collecting airplanes. I’ve always collected die cast vehicles and when I saw this, I realized I had a love for the planes. This is what a Presidential plane should look like. It’s no surprise that it came from 1 of the top 3 POTUS we’ve EVER had as far as love for the USA 🇺🇸. This is definitely a must have keepsake to remember A GREAT POTUS! It makes it easier to look at this AF1 and remember that these bad times won’t last!! The detail is incredible, the color is incredible. Which you’d expect from an incredible vision. Much appreciation DARON SKYMARKS for possibly the best 747-8i AF1 in history. I want to support Daron even more, so I purchased 5 other Daron aircraft collectibles!! I’m so thankful I’ve found this!!**UPDATE** Everyone that has seen this (even those) have said how much better it looks with this livery. I’m much more thankful now, bcuz of the jealous scrapping this livery bcuz the didn’t think of it!! Friends that are thankful for such a great POTUS, have ordered this as a reminder of better times and hope to get thru these dark days for the next couple of years. I like it so much, that I ordered another. Just can’t get over the detail of this plane!

I gave this item 4 of 5 stars as 1 of the landing gear pieces was not attached to the model and when I was removing it from the package, the landing gear fell in between my front seats and there is zero room to get your hand under or between the seat and arm rest...used a hanger to get it back and used superglue. Other than that, it's an incredible and beautiful model. Whether or not this colorway will be used is subject to seeing what the future US President decides.This colorway option is not terrible...it's not historic unlike the details of the current (2022) aircraft we call Air Force 1, but it is very pretty. I cannot tell the difference between the Boeing 747-400 or this new 747-800 when side-by-side, but the 747 is the hallmark of jumbo0-jets and even with the full 2nd level, Airbus A380, nothing beside the Concorde looks as iconic and majestic as the 747 series.
